"This beautifully appointed cottage, next to Barry the owners home, has everything and more, than you could ever need. The view from the cottage is over rural farm land and out to the Shorebird Coast, Firth of Thames and the Coromandel ranges beyond. The moment I arrived from central Auckland I felt myself start to relax. Barry was very friendly and helpful. "Overall was ok, good location but place needs a bit of updating as it is very dated but has everything you need. There are ripped curtains in the bedroom and the shower needs the pressure and door fixed - simple low cost fixes which would make it much better. Owners live on site permanently and people live below the unit in the garage also so you only have the deck to use."

"This place is immaculate. It is easy to feel ‘at home’ straight away. Everything we needed was there and the hosts were very helpful. Close to town and also to the lake. Waihi beach less than 10 minutes away and others not much further. The Hauraki Rail Trail so close. It was quiet and all in all, a great place to stay."
