"The property owner had his maid write a hand note telling us to pay water and electricity and debated with us prior to leaving as I speak Wolof the native language of Senegal. NO WHERE ON THE LISTING does it state you have to pay for such basic things that you’d think comes with a villa… maybe he only tried to get me to do this who knows because I read reviews before booking. I made sure to take a picture of the note. Nice space otherwise and could use some air fresheners in the bathrooms."

"The home, the surroundings, the on-site caretaker, the location, and the amenities were fabulous. We had a ride from the airport late at night, and then on to our next stop upon our departure. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast and lunches prepared daily by Ely were delicious, and we took advantage of the beach and the pool. We could have spent more time looking around in Saly, and we did go to the artisan markets and one restaurant. Honestly though, we were so content in this space that...

"Séjour très agréable, la propriétaire Laurence est très sympathique. Le gardien original et sympathique vous rend service et peut même vous guider en visite. Quartier calme. Piscine super."

"Arrivée à la location. Pas d'état des lieux. Beaucoup de points négatifs ( poubelles non vidées, lampes ne fonctionnant pas, terrasse non nettoyée, evacuation bouchees, odeurs nauséabondes, pas de wifi.).A notre depart pas d'état des lieux et la propriétaire se permet de facturer un forfait menage après avoir laissé l'endroit plus propre qu'à notre arrivée. Je deconseille fortement cette propriétaire malhonnête. "

"Nous avons été accueillis chaleureusement par Sophie, et nous avons apprécié l'appartement spacieux, la proximité de la plage par un chemin sablonneux bordé de bougainvilliers et la piscine. Nous y retournerons, ne serait ce que pour partager de bons moments autour d'un café ou d'un kinkéliba avec notre hôte. Merci à Olivier et Sophie !"

"Nous avons passé 46 jours à Somone dans un appartement très agréable et qui correspondait totalement à notre demande !! Bien situé et un environnement calme et dans un joli jardin fruitiers !! "Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La maison est très belle et bien entretenue, au coeur de la vie locale. Nous avons très bien mangé grace à Binta. Les alentours permettent de se promener sur la plage en rencontrant les locaux, et de faire de petites courses à pied."

"Nous étions 3 couples et 3 enfants (2 ans et 4 ans) et la maison était vraiment parfaite pour nous. L'emplacement est sensationnel, la plage n'est quasiment pas fréquentée, la vue est incroyable. Quelques paillotes se trouvent un peu plus loin sur la plage pour profiter des cocktails et des poissons grillés. Maha a été d'une grande aide et Ira sur place nous a épaulé sur beaucoup de sujets (trouver un taxi, faire des courses, nous conseiller des activités,...). Nous recommandons les yeux fermés...

"Pros: The hosts were lovely and helpful. The property was spacious and beautiful with many little extras not always found in Senegal Vrbo’s like hairdryer and microwave and a washer. We have a vehicle, so the location was good…about as close to the airport as you can get in a Vrbo. Also, a very short walk to the beach. It was also very clean, compared to some similarly priced vrbo’s in Senegal. Cons: AC is very important in this season and climate, and only one bedroom had working AC. Finding...

Magic stay for happy couple

"Really enjoyed the stay. We were in one of the new beach houses in the bay. Once there I finally realised the difference between cocoon and crystal (I think :-) Crystal is the last of the 18 houses and has one of the walls fully in glass as opposed to Cocoon that have standard walls. These new houses are simply beatiful - a perfect "love nest" - everything is nice even if we have to change room as the flush of our toilet wasn't working properly (really seamless swap - however I found the houses facing West - EVEN numbers - are better than the ones facing East, simply cause it's nice to chill on the patio and face the sunset. Breakfast has so many options and so has dinner (incl fresh grilled seafood). We didn't have a chance to test all the facilities but there is a tennis court and padel court, nice gym and a SPA. Pools are really nice and the beach beds are nicely spaced and plenty of shade to chill or sun to catch your tan. Overall a magic stay and would definitely get back "
