Secluded luxury retreat 10 mins to St Paul de Vence, breathtaking sea views

Situated atop the medieval town of Tourrettes sur Loup, Villa Soleil is a large, modern, spacious villa with 4 very generously sized individual bedroom suites all with south facing sea views and glass doors to their own individual terrace seating. Each bedroom has air conditioning which is wonderful in the hot summer months and underfloor heating for cosy toes in winter. The property offers breathtaking views of the Mediterranean sea and the surrounding countryside with total peace and quiet. It is close to all amenities and only a 15 minute walk / 2 minute drive from Tourrettes and 10 minutes from famous St Paul de Vence, with its abundance of art galleries.

LOCATION
Villa Soleil is situated in the uplands of Vence just 30 minutes drive from Nice airport, on the hillside above the medieval village of Tourrettes sur Loup. It is reached by a gated, private road (shared by one other villa further up the road which is not visible from the property). Villa Soleil has an excellent position overlooking the village with sweeping panoramic views over the Mediterranean Sea, from Cap Ferrat to the Esterel Mountains.

Tourrettes sur Loup is a beautiful spot to come home to after a busy day out visiting the many attractions that the Côte d'Azur has to offer. The sea and beaches are only a short drive away as are stunning Saint Paul de Vence, cosmopolitan Nice (distance 35 km), glamorous Cannes (38km) and Monaco (59 km). Italy too is within easy driving distance.


LAYOUT
Villa Soleil is designed with relaxation, luxury and indoor / outdoor living very much in mind. The large open plan living / dining area on the ground floor features fully retractable glass walls which means that in the height of summer you can enjoy the cool hillside breeze while in winter months you can close the walls yet still enjoy the clear sea view from within the conservatory area. The living area features comfortable sofas and a flat screen TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime, ITV hub and All 4. There is also a table football table, a Wii games console and many other games to enjoy in the sideboard, along with a basket of English-language books for your holiday reading. There is a CD player / bluetooth speaker in the living room for you also to enjoy.

The kitchen, which is off the living room, is fully equipped with dishwasher, microwave, oven, halogen hob, fridge, freezer, toaster, kettle, coffee maker and coffee frother for morning cappuccinos. There is a large gas-powered barbecue on the terrace outside the kitchen. The twin bedroom plus en -suite shower room is also on this ground floor level.

The three double bedrooms suites and the office are downstairs on the lower floor. All four bedrooms at Villa Soleil are south facing with a panoramic sea view and sliding glass doors to their own individual private terrace areas. All have en-suite facilities along with air conditioning and underfloor heating. Two of the double bedrooms have their own satellite TV and kitchen area. An extra two folding beds are available to increase occupancy if required. These can either go within one of the bedrooms or in the office.

The extensive south-facing terrace runs the entire length of the house on two levels. Relax under the parasol on the outside sofa and enjoy a coffee or a sundowner looking down towards the village or spot the yachts out to sea. Enjoy your morning croissant in the open air at the terrace dining table. The view at Villa Soleil is, we think, unrivalled in the area.

Alternatively, relax in the private infinity pool (heated April to September) or soak up the sun on the large poolside terrace where there are plenty of comfortable sun loungers and parasols. There is a fridge/freezer by the pool for easy access to cold drinks and ice creams!

In the garden, Villa Soleil features a large private boules pitch (boules are of course provided). Perfect your skills here before challenging the locals at one of the regular summer contests in the village. There is also a table tennis table with plenty of bats and balls available on the ground floor terrace.

High quality bed linen and all towels (indoor and outdoor) are all provided for up to 8 guests. Extra linen is charged at €50 per guest (max 2 extra guests). The rental price includes wifi, satellite TV (French and English channels), a welcome grocery pack and end of stay clean. Extra cleaning is available and payable locally.

Electric security shutters throughout keep the property safe while you enjoy the local area. They also act as very effective blackout blinds for totally undisturbed sleep!

LOCAL AREA
There are leisure pursuits galore from horse riding and mountain walking to sea sports, golf and tennis along with a rich array of culture, with art galleries, museums, theatre, music and opera all within easy reach.

Tourrettes sur Loup itself is a medieval village dating from the 11th century. Violets have been grown in the area for centuries and this has been the village's main agricultural activity since the 1800s. The delicate flowers are used in the perfume factories of Grasse (the perfume capital of the world - well worth a visit) and also in the local speciality - violet ice cream. The annual Fête des Violettes in Tourrettes sur Loup (usually held in March) rounds off the end of the violet season and celebrates spring with music, dancing, a floral procession and even a floral battle. Shops and services are all available in the local village (distance 1.5 km). Tourrettes sur Loup has 2 bakeries, 2 greengrocers, a supermarket, pharmacy, 2 butchers, 1 newsagent and restaurants which are open every day. There is an open air market in the main square every Wednesday.

The property is fully alarmed and has ample parking for 4 cars.

NB Villa Soleil is a family home in a very quiet area and as such is not suitable for very large groups of partying adults. Sorry!
