"The room size is bigger than usual hotel rooms with microwave and refrigerator freezer. Continental breakfast was better than most with fresh biscuits and gravy. We never did use the pool and hot tub but looked in on them and they seemed nice."

"5/5 Stars – Absolutely perfect host and stunning setting!We couldn't have chosen a better location for our wedding weekend! The property features gorgeous land with incredible views, and there was plenty of space to comfortably sleep all 10 of our overnight guests while easily accommodating our 50 wedding guests for the event.The house and grounds were spotless when we arrived, and the pricing was a fantastic value for everything offered. On top of that, our host went above and beyond—extremely helpful, quick to communicate, and even made special accommodations for us to come back and pick up a few items we had left behind after checkout.Thank you for helping make our special day so memorable. We would love to return and highly recommend this host and property to anyone!"

"For anyone who loves nature, this place is for you! Not only is Dalsoren House immaculate, comfortable, and a story by itself, the entire property is a gem. We spent countless hours outside wandering the property, enjoying the all of the nature that surrounded us. We were surprised to be at the right place at the right time many times - when a tree fell in the woods, when we came nearly face-to-face with a doe (thankfully, the trout stream was between us) who didn't appreciate our presence (evidenced by her huffs), and when the chattering sandhill cranes flew above us. Mowed paths led us on different walks each day. The stars at night were breath-taking. Inside, the accommodations were excellent and kept us very comfortable. Every light switch/outlet is labeled for easy use of the house. The kitchen was super clean. Windows provided great views outside as well as lovely decoration inside with stained glass panels. We felt secluded and private in this exceptional piece of nature.I spent our first two evenings reading the story of the family matriarch's journey to America. It was fascinating and very well-written! I imagined where they might have built their initial dugout on the land. I would have loved to have also learned about subsequent generations. Had we stayed longer, I would have read the entire story again. Maybe next time, as this is a place we plan to visit again! Thanks to Thea and the Thompson family for sharing this very special place with us!"
