"10/10 hospitality from Guido and Krista! We thank you for your insight, recommendations and perspective! Casita 3 was a fabulous getaway for a week. Kitchen is adequate, as we did prepare most of our dinners there. The deck and views are fabulous. The mattress is very comfortable! Water quality and water pressure are great. Guido and Krista responded right away to an unexpected water pressure surprise. It’s close to Restaurant Teosinte, which should not be missed! Don’t forget Juan’s farm tour!...

"When we arrived at Finca Lucky we didn't receive the confirmation email for the key. It was very stressful, as this made me distrustful. We had to ask the neighbors for the phone number of the owner's contact. The house was a mess. The sheets were thrown on the bed. The curtains were not put up. We had to clean everything ourselves. The internet is terrible, it doesn't work well. There are no televisions. I didn't see any maintenance done to the pool. We stayed for 8 days and they didn't have...

"Our host Jason went out of his way to ensure we had a good stay at his place. We had support in getting to use a local pool, with groceries and transportation to our next location to mention a few. If you need local insights and super hospitality then go with Jason. The location is in a quiet local neighbourhood and it feels safe to have kids running around outside. "SOLO TRAVELER REVIEW OMG where do I even begin. this place is indeed as wonderful as it looks and as amazing as the other reviews state it is. the staff all knew me by name literally within the first day. this hotel has an energy that allows your nervous system to completely relax. the aesthetics, the lighting, the music. as a solo traveler without a vehicle, the shuttle was perfect, it leaves from the hotel every hour on the hour from 8am-6pm and it has I think 5 stops around guiones and playa pelada. I also walked a lot which was fine and took lots of tuk tuks! (local "taxis"). The daily yoga classes were so lovely and grounding, and wonderful for all levels, even beginners. The daily breakfast was great, lots of options, and the included OJ was 10/10. Overall this hotel exceeded all my expectations and thank you to all the staff! Only thing I could say is that I wish the staff had name tags because they all remembered my name but I could not remember all theirs : )"

"I appreciated that a hotel as lovely as this was still welcoming to families. Breakfast was delicious. We recommend going to local restaurants for lunch and dinner - Il Pepperoni and Al Chile were favorites. We also appreciated the monkey bridge that brought a family of 20+ monkeys to the tree next to our room! A trip highlight. Our final morning we visited Sibu Wildlife Refuge and it was incredible."

Domo Nosara Boutique Hotel

"What can I say? This was the R&R that was much needed - secluded, sophisticated and sleek! Domo Nosaro is located on the Pacific side of Costa Rica, about 90 mins south of Tamarindo. The roads are lush with foliage - and the small stretch leading up to Domo is rough terrain, it is only for about 3 mins - and once you have reached the lodge, you will be well rewarded with its sheet beauty. Check in was a breeze (and in fact we were slightly early - and we were immediately welcomed and provided a room). A few small handy notes: (i) there is no elevator, so luggage has to be carried up - no worries though, as the helpful staff will lend you a hand; (ii) there is no onsite cafe - no worries because the Sunrise cafe and other choice eateries such as Pulpo, are literally a stone's throw away - and their food is on point; (iii) there is no TV because this is an eco-lodge designed for seclusion - no worries though as the wifi is strong and you will be instragramming every 5 seconds anyway! What you will see the spectacular lounge areas overlooking the salt water pool - the temperature is just right (neither warm nor cold - just superbly comfortable) - and pool and beach towels are provided. The rooms are luxurious in a Mediterranean style that truly makes you feel like you got away into the lap of luxury - and the windows overlook plants that are teeming with butterflies and birds! The sound of howler monkeys wakes you up in the morning - and time just flies...wish I had longer!"
