Very friendly staff. Great 3-course meal and an amazing price. Just note that reception is closed at 10:30pm so keep your room key if you come back after that time - if not, you may find that you can't get into your room.

Er was een 'wauw effect' bij binnenkomst in de kamer. Erg netjes en ik kreeg er een heerlijk luxe gevoel bij. Personeel ook zeer vriendelijk. Hier kom ik zeker nog terug, met gezin. Was er nu alleen om even snel te slapen.

Bedden waren goed, het was schoon, erg mooi gelegen, vriendelijk personeel/service. Internet was goed. Ontbijt was ok maar kon wel uitgebreider. Parkeren makkelijk, inchecken zonder personeel ging probleemloos. Meubels (nachtkastjes waren wat verouderd.

I was hoping this would be a nice relaxing night at the end of our vacation before getting on the plane to return to the US, but it ended up being very disappointing. First, the rural location and quaintness was perfect and beautiful! The staff was pleasant and check-in was simple. We ordered a couple of beers and asked about sitting out on the patio. The gal said we could sit outside but that there were mosquitos. We only lasted about 3 minutes outside before retreating inside as we were nearly eaten alive--the inside was too hot with no air circulating at all so we didn't really have the chance to enjoy our drinks. Upon returning to our room, we realized that we had left the window open (trying to get air and having no idea about the mosquitos). This would have been ok, but the screen on the window was torn completely out and, therefore, the room was filled with said mosquitos. There was no choice but to close the window and that made the temperature of the room unbearable. We went and asked for a fan and were given a tiny circular fan and told "sorry, that is all I have to give you". It was so hot and miserable in the room--we even opened the door to the hallway in hopes of getting a little cool air. Sadly, a terrible end to a nice vacation. Had there been a screen, the cool air from outside would have made the room pleasant and a good fan would have helped A LOT. Bed was comfy enough and shower was good-I would have slept in there if possible just to get cool.

Hotel 3 stelle nella norma

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel per una sola notte. L'hotel si trova lungo una pista ciclabile in una zona tranquilla. Le stanze sono pulite e ampie. Il ristorante/bar annesso è molto carino, le stanze non sono allo stesso livello. Consigliato.

Charming little hotel South of Schipol

Rooms are basic but have everything you need. Could do with a little upgrade Restaurant for Dinner and Breakfast is excellent. Located South of Schiphol is good for business and leisure.

Disappointing stay

We did not have the best experience at this hotel. Whilst it is well located by the water with lovely views and the owners gave us a friendly welcome, as time went on we found that things were not up to the usual standards we would expect in a hotel or B&B. There was no kettle or facilities for drink making in our room and also no fridge. It was possible to buy drinks from the bar when it was open, but sometimes they closed quite early. You could also take drinks from the bar to your room. The electrical sockets by the bed appeared to be potentially dangerous, with plugs fitting badly & sparked when you tried to plug anything in. The heating worked and the TV had UK/US channels. The hairdryer was fine (bathroom socket was safe). There was plenty of hot water and the shower was fine. However, on the day before we left, the towels were changed and we were left with only two hand towels and no bath towels. We asked the owner if we could have more towels to shower before we left, however they were not helpful and did not make any effort to get us more towels, did not offer an apology and did not appear to see any problem. The bed was only made on the first day of our stay and the small litter bin was not emptied at all during our stay. Cleaning in general appeared to be minimal during our stay. The soap in the bathroom was removed on the 2nd day, not replaced and later found in the bin. Breakfast choice was limited- bread, cold meat, jam, boiled egg, yogurt, juice & coffee/tea.

Could do better

How I would love to be able to write that this small but delightful hotel, set in rural Holland, was the perfect start to our short break away. It started well when we were greeted and booked in by a very affable young man. Our room, on the first floor was perfectly adequate and a local restaurant only 500m away was recommended and the food was delicious. Unfortunately the next morning when my husband asked for the wifi code, the staff member said she was too busy to find it - she had breakfasts to prepare….(continental breakfast, meats/cheese already on the buffet, the hotel only has 7 rooms, but she was even too busy to be polite.) Hot chocolate for breakfast was not possible and the only tea was Earl Grey - these days all hotels have a selection of teabags...but not here. The hotel states that it provides toiletries which it did….. But one ‘one portion’ sized shower gel for 2 people for 2 nights is less than I expected. So, our stay at this hotel which started so well will, for us, unfortunately be remembered for the wrong reasons. A real shame as it is an ideally situated hotel in a beautifully peaceful area
