Quiet headland location, Scoglitti village 10 mins drive with basic amenities nice grocers and bakers etc. No tourists in October. Informal and simple lifestyle for a chill out. Accoms for 11 in a 3 bed and 4 doubles. Nice outside sun area overlooking the Med. if you want an unsophisticated chill out place for a large group away from it all then this would suit. "Le Maria is a very nice house with a wonderful pool and garden area. A happy herd of cows lives on the other side of the garden wall and the clanging of their bells gives a tranquil countryside feel. The owners Graziella and Sara were extremely helpful and responsive. We did not have the problems with electricity mentioned in other reviews. The kitchens (there are two) are generally well equipped but some more pots, pans, kitchen knives and chopping boards would be good to have."

"Elio welcomed us with a magnificent spread of local delicacies and a bottle of wine. The villa itself is comfortable, well laid out and well decorated. Lovely pool and many different areas of the garden to enjoy. Of special note is the BBQ area, tucked away down steps to a lower part of the garden. A great place to while away the evening."

Perfect for exploring the cultural, historic and cultural highlights of the area including Ragusa Noto Modica Syracusa etc. while we went in the off season the combination of a beautiful pool and close proximity to various beaches make it ideal for spring and summer months. It is also surrounded by farmland isolating it from any noise neighbours or traffic. Kitchen was excellently equipped as were the bedrooms. Master bedroom was impressive. Hosts were attentive,...

"The house is lovely with a great pool and a beautiful garden. House is well equipped. Location is a bit remote so car is a MUST as nearest town is 11km, 20 min by car. Nearest beach is 25 minutes drive. Overall though as long as you plan your food shopping well the house will provide a very comfortable stay"
