The onsen was also nice, and having access to the other onsens in the area was also a nice bonus. We also appreciated the ski valet service. The only difficult part is that it takes a long time to start skiing from hinode hills. You need to take a slow carpet, to a very short gondola, and then either take multiple chairs up the mountain or ski over to the Hilton to get the main gondola. We really enjoyed hinode hills, but the ski access was not ideal for us. "

"We stayed as a family of four for 5 nights. PROS: - location was great, within walking distance to Anapuri - the breakfast was great and changed daily which was nice - the shared bathroom was clean - it did feel family friendly and we liked meeting other folks in the common area CONS: - our room was ok - the heater and fridge didn’t work and it was clean-ish - you have to walk through the dining area to access the communal showers which felt odd - the staff also utilized the common areas so sometimes it was hard to know who was actually working and it felt like we were an inconvenience at times when we were asking for things like coffee in the morning - in general, we felt the service was lacking for what we paid "

"Walking distance to ski slopes which is great unless the chairlifts are closed and you can’t ski across. No Ubers and it was a pain to get the shuttle bus to Hirafu where everything is (only 1 per hour). There was only a pizza shop and restaurant next door and a cafe down the road so a quiet village. We hired ski gear through the hotel and it was convenient (finished by 9am) and I think cheaper. The lodge it self was dated, bedroom and common room could use a refresh and upgrade. Price was expensive for what we got but the cheapest we could find around this area! "

"Anupuri was 2 min drive or shuttle. Def the best slope for the family and the big boys. Staff was great super helpful. They emailed us regularly asking what we needed and what tours to book. Noa. Was super friendly and also Reese. Big bath tube. To soak in after the slopes. In house breakfast. Had good selection of cereals and hot eggs bacon toast and fruit... very quite and the views are amazing thanks agian def be going back"
