The first I knew about this was someone mentioned it in their review of the property the end of February. I was on a cruise and did not find out about the lack of linens until check in!! The property itself could have used a clean up and the sliding balcony door does not lock. Also no bar soap, pillows old, only one chair, and beds were very hard creating...

"AVOID! This place was an absolute nightmare! Ants, roaches, and bedbugs all over the place! When I arrived, the place was unclean from the last guest and the hotel did not care. There is no front desk. BEWARE: It is in the favela and very dangerous even during the day! The pictures are deceptive. I left before my booking ended. You could not pay me to stay here again! "

"Great location, good apartments. However, some need better maintenance. We had to switch apartments because the fuse in the first one blew when two showers were used at the same time. Lack of communication led us to have a car in the garage while work was done in it and we were told we could not leave with the vehicle as it would damage the work. They ended up finding a solution, but that was a stressful experience that could have been avoided with better communication. All they needed to do was...

"Sebastian did an outstanding job in answering all of my questions and remaining flexible with payment whilst I sorted out my bank accounts (make sure your credit cards have pins!). I was initially concerned about having a 2 bedroom apartment but I did well with having 3 nights to myself and 3 nights with a couple of Asian guys who were fun. The quality of the room is very average and the bed and linen could do with an upgrade and the kitchen a thorough clean but the apartment is lovely and large...

There are lots of linien available, cleaned flat with great view and fantastic condo with facilities for children, pool and even cafe in the building. There is a supermarket and some restaurants very close to the flat.Very nice stay at dolce vita! "

"Room is very small (not a suite). No linens, towels, soap & toilet paper ever provided during entire stay. Problem with water flow in shower when sink used at same time. Never saw or heard from the host. Don't recommend it!"
