"We had the most wonderful time with our family of 3 generations from New Zealand, Australia and England. The weather was perfect ,the beautiful pool enjoyed by everyone. The forest was enjoyed by us all especially our eldest son from NZ who did the forest walk daily to the Boulangerie for our fresh baguettes and croissants . Michel and Brigette were the perfect hosts and made us feel very welcome . Their property is beautifully maintained and we all agreed that it was a real privilege to holiday...

"This house is situated brilliantly for a rural holiday in France with great local towns, a near lake and lots of choice for restaurants within a short drive. We loved the terrace where we ate every day shaded by a glorious vine. The owners lived next door and were very helpful. Sadly when we were there they were not offering diner."

"Although a little difficult to find, this is a beautiful and peaceful house. The pool is large and worked really well for us, we were 4 adults and 4 children aged between 4-9. Plenty of garden space for the kids to run around and a lovely BBQ area. A couple of disappointments, firstly I must point out that some of the pictures online are not that accurate or at least for us. Christine was the perfect host and made sure we were made welcome in this beautifully presented gite. "I had a wonderful stay at Sophie & Craig’s gîte. The thing that made it was the warm welcome from Sophie & Craig. It was January and so, cold, but Sophie would bring me a wheelbarrow full of logs for the wood-burning stove every morning! My dog, Jack, played happily in the garden and it was perfect for him, with lots of walks. All in all, a great stay!"

"Het huis was geweldig en de eigenaren zeer vriendelijk . Voor ons was dit gedeelte van de Dordogne te vlak. we houden van motorrijden en in dit gedeelte miste we de bergen en ook de mooie wandelroutes. Ook was het te warm om dit alles te ondernemen, misschien hadden we meer ondernomen als het wat kouder was. Maar de vrijheid van de accommodatie was geweldig. "Communication difficile avec les propriétaires (même en Anglais) literie très confortable, chauffage un peu limite vu la taille des pièces, pas de baby foot, très beau parc, accès restaurant limité à 2 soirs par semaine, non précisé sur offre, fuite sur la machine à laver, pas d'aspirateur, il a fallu demander un balai. Location convenable sûrement encore plus agréable en été. Très bien pour l'espace pour les enfants."

Staircase to the bedroom balcony makes a bathroom trip in the depths of night a precarious adventure but the overall ambience and amenities are delicious . Superbly comfy sofas and French scrabble makes the evenings simple fly by ."
