This 2 bedroom/ 1 bathroom 1500 square foot house sits directly on the beach and only steps away from the Ocean View Fishing Pier and Rooftop Bar and Grill, and is conveniently located near Downtown Norfolk, Virginia Beach Oceanfront, Chic's Beach, Old Dominion University, Christopher Newport University, the Navy and Air Force bases, and many other attractions! There is WiFi, a brand new 50" Smart TV in the living room, 40" smart TVs in each bedroom, memory foam mattresses, 4x window AC units to keep the house very cool, and a kitchen with basic essentials.
The first picture is the view from the back porch of the house. It is a 100 year old house that has recently undergone renovations including new floors, cabinetry, bathroom, brand new window AC/heat units, and appliances, including an arcade machine with hundreds of games including Pac-Man and Galaga.
There is a queen bed in bedroom 1 and two twin beds in bedroom 2. If you need to use the sofa bed or additional twin bed stored in the sunroom, please request linens for those ahead of time.

Perfect stay

The house was very cute, I loved the extra touches such as the sample toiletries and Pac Man machine. The beach was steps away and the fishing pier was a huge hit with my husband and daughter. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your property, we hope to come back one day.

Beach access is wonderful

If you are looking for a place right on the beach, this is it. The house was clean, furnishings are older but you are on the beach. You are right next to a public fishing pier. Pier is busy as is the parking lot, so not a quiet place to stay. If noise doesn’t bother you, you will enjoy this beach house.

Very pleased with our stay. We were just a few steps from the beach. Loved that. The place was clean. Quiet. We just wanted the beach and rest and we were able to do both. George was easy to work with. We definitely plan to return to this hidden place. Just hated to leave.

Fun little place right on the beach

I enjoyed staying here. The beach was only 100 ft away from the back patio in a grill was provided with a fire pit. The owner was super friendly understanding and extended without question when asked. The property was clean when we got there and there were plenty of dishes pots pans towels etc. Check in with simple the code worked right away and they were no issues with any of that. There's a fishing pier with a bar and grill that's seasonal and unfortunately wasn't open when we were there but looks like it would be ideal. This is off the main Virginia Beach kicking path which we liked because it was a little quieter. The kitchen is large clean and up to date. There was an ice maker which was super cool and helpful as well as a coffee pot and new appliances stove etc. Obviously being a beach house it's probably a little older but it's the best bang for the buck you're going to find out in this area!

Sister Trip

Up on arrival you will have to fight for parking spots. You have to park in the pier parking lot. There are spots designated for the houses but the house in front of us took all of them. When we first walked in there was a slight smell you can definitely tell it’s an older house! Floors are very in level. We understand (beach bugs) but we did have to kill several pincher bugs. I even had one in my bed. The area is a little rough especially for a bunch of women! Very close to the water but lots of trashed furniture outside. Grass to get to the ocean was very tall. All around we made it but probably wouldn’t stay again, mainly for safety concerns! We asked a grocery store worker how safe it was and he said look around your in ocean view there are security guards in grocery stores. So that didn’t help! The host responded quickly and we had a seem less check in!

It reminded me of my uncle's beachfront home in the 70's in Md. Nothing fancy but comfortable, private and a lot of good memories. Very nice beach is so close to the house and this location is convenient to get to everything. Make sure you try the steamed crabs at Graham and Rollins' Hampton Seafood market just 12 miles away.

The perfect quaint beach house in Ocean View. Me and my family, including our dog, had a wonderful stay that was peaceful. The beach wasn't crowded which was a bonus for us. The fishing pier next to the property allowed for the pleasure to watch the beautiful sunsets. While the fishing pier was open 24/7 during our stay, it was quiet and no riff raff. The host made sure to leave detailed notes about the property, things to do locally, and checkout instructions which weren't a mile long, which I've experienced in the past at other vacation rentals elsewhere in other states.

The home was right on the beach as described, which is where I really wanted to stay. The home has great potential to be a wonderful place however the extremely weak flooring was terrifying to walk on, use the shower on and use the commode. My fiancée is a big man who is disabled and he was afraid he was going to fall through the floor.

Quiet Retreat

I thought the location was very convenient. You are on the beach and a 20 minute drive to downtown Norfolk. Parking can be tricky on the weekends because the parking lot is tight. I would recommend taking a smaller vehicle, like a 4-door sedan (Toyota Corolla).
