Hotel owned “The wild rose restaurant “is very good , food is delicious. Hotel facility need to be upgraded for the price . Front desk person should try to solve problem not blame guest who booked through third party . Wish they will do better .

Not what we were expecting

It was not what we were expecting. The gentleman at the front desk asked for an additional payment (which I thought I had paid in full) and when he entered in the wrong number, he asked for the addt'l $.20. Weird. Then we get to the room, and there's a distinct odor. the side of the tub was velcro'd and had wires exposed. the heat wasn't easily accessible. it's unfortunate, because the pics and the price lead us to believe this would be a different experience. we ended up staying at another hotel up the street.

Very outdated

People were kind, but the room was very, very outdated, the toilet was clogged we had to get an unblocker from the lobby. It looked like it was nice over 20 years ago. Even though breakfast was included you get an receipt you have to pay with a tip. The main lobby is nice but The eating are and the room we stayed in, is not what we expect from a place that has 5 stars, maybe the rooms in the main house, but you don’t see that when booking.

Do not expect too much

On-site restaurant staff was excellent. Other hotel staff was not warm, we did not feel welcome there at all. The facility is quite old and one can feel it too. The room has very low ceiling and very poor sound-proof. We could hear every step the upstairs guest was taking; plus two dogs barking. We left the next morning as soon as we could. The breakfast was excellent though. Not sure it is worth the money.

The foliage just peaked. The Mountains were amazing and beautiful. The Stonehurst Manor is my new favorite place to stay. Wonderful service, excellent food, and very pet friendly.

Location is excellent for North Conway. The grounds are beautiful but the building is very dark and our room needed updating. Included meals were okay but very overpriced. Same choice of meals for breakfast and dinner and unable to deviate from those set options. Due to Covid, we had no maid service but was given clean towels each day left outside our door in a plastic bag. I felt some adjustment should have been made in our daily room charge.

Very best dining and pool in N Conway.

It's one of a few historic hotels that feels like home. We try to go every year. The food is really really good, very gourmet, the pool is the best and the sunsets over the White Mts cant be beat. Feels so elegnt that you are stepping back in time ....like the Great Gatsby era. And the added open air tent is very covid friendly. PLEASE bring back the choc chip coookies after covid!!!! The best!!!!!

We could hear the people above us, every movement and they were walking back and forth constantly. The mattress's need to be replaced on both beds. There was some confusion on mask wearing the first day. All of the servers are really great!

The property is so old. The floors creak in the bedrooms so definitely get a second floor room. Our room was so hot and there is no air conditioning. The staff honestly wasn’t that friendly nor welcoming.

Love this rustic Manner and it’s wonderful restaurant. The food is sure to please and the service is top notch. What ruined our anniversary stay was booking through Expedia. FALSE ADVERTISING! The picture they show you of the room you are booking is very nice BUT you do not get that room. We got a tiny very plain room( ugly really) in a deferent part of the manor altogether. We had to walk outside to get to our room. Felt like we were at motel 6. Not Stonehurst fault at all but we were very disappointed. Just glad it was just cold and not snowing or RAINING. We will book direct with Stonehurst next time so we can enjoy one of the beautiful Manor rooms. Sadly I forgot our waitresses name but she was awesome! Worked over Easter weekend 2021 and made our stay that much better. Shout out to the young man who was our host over Easter weekend and also our waiter for breakfast Easter Day. You two were the best! Many thanks but not to Expedia. We weren’t trying to cut costs using Expedia we were trying to check availability at different places when we decided on SM. Should have gone right to the site.

I will book this place again. The food was great and the main part of the Inn is lovely. The only problem is that the "Mountain View" is actually the name of the wing, not actually a room in the main Inn having the Mountain View.

We love staying here. We should stick to the rooms in the Manor section. More our style. They have a new chef and have made some changes to the menu, and recipes. Friendly staff.
