  • Trying to accommodate a large family? This 7 bedroom and 3 bathroom beach house is large enough for 16 people. The seven bedrooms are:1 Queen, 1 Double/1 Twin, 2 Twins, Twin Bunk Set, 1 Queen, 2 Twins and 1 Double/1 Twin. Extended families are accommodated when the Barnett House TOP unit is rented in conjunction with Barnett House BOTTOM unit.

    The Barnett House Top has everything a large family needs to enjoy their beach getaway but the layout with a great room is also delightful for smaller parties too! Life doesn't get any better when your sitting out on the large ocean front porch or when you are able to just walk down the stairs straight to the beach. There is a large fully equipped kitchen as well as a dining table large enough for the entire family. 3 TV's with cable or Roku, DVD, washer/dryer and central heat and air and free Wi-Fi. With a $200 "Pet Fee" you can even bring along your Fur-Baby! New refrigerator, refreshed interior Décor and Park-Style Grills added in 2022. Mattresses refreshed for spring of 2023! New for 2024: New Kitchen Floor, several new kitchen appliances and refreshed interior paint

Our whole family went this trip and the house was perfect for a lot of people. It has everything we needed for cooking in the kitchen and plenty of room. We thoroughly enjoyed the huge oceanfront porch!

Beautiful beach house, close to everything!

It's a wonderful little beach house with direct access to the beach and everything else we needed was very close by. There was plenty of space for everyone and if we had filled all the beds, the kitchen would have been more than enough to cook for them all!

Lots of Memories Made!

My husband and I brought 5 of our children, some of their spouses and our grandson for a week vacation. The house is old but there is a lot of character. The set up was amazing for our family and the location is phenomenal. Close to literally everything and right on the beach. Our family had such a fun time and we’re glad we chose the Barnett house.

Great Location

Our party consisted of 14 people. Two members of our party cancelled at the last minute. Our stay at the Barnett House was wonderful. Plenty of space and the location of the beach was the best. Everything we needed was easily obtainable. I will definitely recommend Barnett House to anyone with a large party. We rotate our visit between the mountains and the beach. See you in a few years!

Martha's Crew 2023 Family Vacation

This property is PERFECT for family. We loved the "Center" of the house. For us, the family gathering at the farmhouse table is BEST part of the house. We do think the carpet and ducts may need a thorough cleaning because allergies kicked up with coughing and sniffling and sneezing. Also, a screen door on the back and the deck would've been lovely, so the dragon flies wouldn't chase us. LOL But overall, the house is perfect for a big family.

Nice place for family

It was in a good location on the beach. The building is a little dated, but plenty roomy. The only issue we had was that the washing machine wouldn’t drain. The property manager sent their reps over to check it out, and said they’d send a repairman, but one never showed up. Other than that, this place more than met our needs.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We just spent a long weekend at Barnett House upstairs with our kids and friends for spring break. It was perfect! The layout is awesome with plenty of beds to choose from, Jack and Jill bathrooms, a kitchen with absolutely everything you could possibly need, an amazing breeze through the center of the house when the doors are open, and a porch filled with rocking chairs to enjoy the beautiful view! We loved the long table for our low country boil and the grills were simple and easy when we wanted hotdogs and burgers. The whole house has a great weathered beach cottage feel. We would LOVE to come back! Wear your flip flops in the grass! The burrs got me once! The WiFi handled lots of teenagers devices no problem! TVs in almost every room even though we never needed to turn them on. It really was a treat!

An oldie, but goodie

I have to say that this house accommodated our needs well. It is an old home that has had some modernizations to it. But in my opinion, more are needed. We did have some issues with leaking water from ceiling and fridge leaking and called realty office who quickly responded to ceiling need. Only thing they said was that owner was replacing refrigerator but offered no resolution. It did propose a problem keeping food cold. We had to put things in coolers on ice all week which was a pain. Loved the screen porch and large family table for eating. The kitchen with 2 cook tops was great for cooking for a large group. Cleaning company could’ve vacuumed better… found lots of trash and remnants of previous guest and confetti. All in all it was a good week.

It’s a very large beach house!

The location is better than it looks in the profile. You cannot get closer to the beach! It is furnished well with a huge, well stocked kitchen that can provide everything 15+ people would need! The appliances all work great, so does the heat and AC. Where it fell down in ratings was overall cleanliness. The surfaces were clean. Linens and such great and plenty of them. But after first glance the whole place needs a deep clean. There was a hurricane the week before we arrived and we had to report that all the screens on the front porch were ripped and hanging, flapping in the wind! Whoever cleaned either hadn’t been on the porch or never reported the damage to the Realty office. They responded immediately and someone came and removed all the damaged screens but in the 2 weeks we were there they were not replaced. Thank goodness it wasn’t bug season. There was 4 bed bugs in one bed which we reported and a exterminator was sent out the same day and nothing was found in any other rooms except the one. We didn’t go back in that room the rest of our stay 😝 Overall really loved this house for it’s location and size which the 7 of us hardly filled! I would rent it again for those reasons.

An amazingly clean and close to the beach vacation home!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family and I had an amazing time! There were plants of rooms, bathrooms, eating space.... We absolutely loved our stay and will come again! The location of being right on the beach made the stay with kids so much more enjoyable and easy access for bathrooms breaks. Etc! I would highly recommend this place. I was also dealt with very professionally and quickly! Thank you

Annual Barnett House Beach Trip

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Fabulous, what more can I say? We have been loving The Barnett House since discovering it during the “re-do” in 1986. We had always stayed at family owned Cool Air Cottage next door and peeked in since it was open for construction and we had outgrown Cool Air. Everything about Barnett House is perfect. The over the top equipped kitchen is large enough for multiple chefs. One of our favorite things is the 1940’s table. We usually have 12 or so eating, a baby seat and a 1000 piece puzzle on it with room to spare. Each year we hope they don’t decide to sell as most others have so that we can continue enjoying another year,. Our grandchildren figured out just this year that it is not “our beach house”. See you for Long Beach week 2025!!
