"This is a good apartment as it’s so close to Cardiff by road or train. It’s also very close to local shops and a 15 min walk to the lovely pier and beach. What the ad doesn’t tell you is the apartment is at the side of the train stop that runs every 15 minutes. We chose it as it had parking but again once we booked, it’s not suitable for a large vehicle which we have. The toilet seat in the en suite is too small for the toilet so went flying. We have friends in Penarth so was a good stay to...

"Lovely flat, lovely view over the bay and the sea. Everything you need in the flat to make your stay enjoyable. The bed was comfortable but missing slats which meant if you sat on it wrong would fall through. Comfy sofa bed with linen. I would recommend and would stay here again. "The property was great. The location was perfect and all. Of the bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice. The kitchen had everything you could ever need. The outdoor area is very small but good for a couple of days away. Only thing to note is that the listing does say there is parking however there isn’t which was disappointing. "

"Check in was quick, got in slightly earlier than advertised. Helpful staff. Ended up being upgraded to a family room with two beds, which was a bit unnecessary. Room was ok, surprised how poor the fittings are despite the age of the hotel. Desk chair completely ripped up, cupboards bashed. Stripped back beds and both had black marks over the sheets, housekeeping changed them asap but shouldn’t have been that way to start with. No towel rail except one over the bath so you have to go around the door if you want to dry your hands, no other place to put it. No coat hooks, would have to put them in the wardrobe which isn’t ideal Had breakfast for one morning, good selection and quality. Refilled often, can also have it made to order and brought to you. Staff were quick to clean up. Bar staff also great and attentive Overall a good stay, if only the rooms were as well looked after as the staff."
