"The property was in a village and was a timber and brick traditional building. The village had limited amenities, but was well located for visiting local towns: we visited Gottingen, Goslar, Einbeck, Hanover. Einbeck was a pleasant surprise as we were not aware of it and enjoyed the "pub crawl", following a route marked by barrels round the town. Gottingen botanic garden is historic, but not in perfect maintenance. Hanover Berggarten was worth a trip - the only place I have ever been to to get winter flowering orchids to flower in summer. The week was very hot for the time of year and it was good to spend time relaxing in the cool of the house."

"Very average facility at a very high cost. Food availability is limited and transport links are even less so overall not a great option unless you’re looking for a place to stay for a weekend. Rooms are not very comfortable, noisy you can hear snoring from next door, bathroom is too small and not well laid out for any comfort. Beautiful surroundings but that’s about it. Bedding is ok, no air conditioning only heating by radiator, parking is easy in open, and seemed enough space, WiFi doesn’t reach well to the rooms because it probably comes from the same hub as the reception which is in a separate building. Oh and you must leave a note on the door if you want the room cleaned, otherwise it will not be cleaned. "
