We booked here as we were dining at Mark Poynton’s restaurant on site. The hotel is quirky and comfortable although the public areas are quite small. Staff were friendly and efficient.
Had to ask for assistance to get TV working.
Tea bags milk and toiletries in room more for single occupancy so had to ask for more - no problem though. Beautiful venue and stylish room. Friendly service at breakfast,
Really nice place to stay. We never had dinner there (attended a party elsewhere), but wish we had! Breakfast was excellent, served by a lovely lady, who was very friendly, & after I enquired, told us the history of the house.
Would certainly stay again!!
Lovely place, a rural retreat, but close to Norwich and the A47.
Excellent staff and service.
Very good food and we didn't have time to be more adventurous, but I'll be back!
Competitive price too!
We had a pleasant stay for one night at Caistor Hall. Staff were very friendly,
Grounds were lovely and dinner was decent. Breakfast was tasty and good choice for a vegetarian.
Room had creaky floorboards and a little too warm and bathroom was very small, shower started to drip water at 3am for about a minute which woke me up and I had trouble getting back to sleep but overall it was a very nice stay and I would return.
Beautiful hotel and grounds, and great clean bedroom with en-suite. Staff we met at reception and at breakfast were amazing. The breakfast itself was superb too.
Bed, though, could have been more comfortable and TV better placed.
Overall though a really great place to stay and highly recommended.
Lovely stay here, staff very friendly and helpful . Food very good at breakfast and dinner . Excellent location to get into centre of Norwich , bus stop right outside hotel so no need to take car into centre.
Slightly understaffed we thought. Staff were very pleasant and exceptionally well trained in service and knowledge of menu’s. Breakfast was cooked to order which is always a good sign. Some areas, like windows, were dirty, but hotel was clean. Main areas were well decorated. Bedrooms less so with signs of wear and tear.
A great little stay for a few nights as a mini get away.
Staff where lovely, polite and helpful.
Room was very clean and made up every day.
Just a lovely quiet place to stay with nice gardens and not far from the city center.
A real gem of a property, hidden away in lovely countryside south of Norwich, rooms are enormous and luxurious with four poster beds, and the property itself is a beautiful historic building. Great food at dinner and friendly service! Will stay again!
From the management yo the waiter's this place has an amazing vibe. Beautifully presented grounds and equally impressive rooms. The breakfast was lovely and the service amazing. Absolutely a must stay choice if yoh are visiting Norwich.
We stayed at Caistor Hall as we were going to a wedding reception nearby. We received a warm welcome when we checked in. The room itself was very large with a good modern bathroom, although to get the shower at a reasonable temperature was a work of art - you need to be patient that the hot water will eventually come! The decor is a little old fashioned but in keeping with the building. Breakfast, included in the room rate, was excellent with a good choice available. We would definitely stay here again if we needed a hotel close to Norwich.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
The room was great, lovely quiet location and staff were very helpful. Having the suite was a real treat although a shelf or platform by the freestanding bath and extra toiletries would have been nice. The property is ideal for an exclusive break but looking a bit tired in places, they could make much more of the gardens, which looked rather unkept, but perhaps the time of year was a factor. Unfortunately the fine dining options were not available, which for a bank holiday weekend was dissappointing. Still had a lovely stay and would recommend
Everything was perfect. I’ve stayed in lots of places across the area but this is by far the best. Everything from the initial greeting at reception, through to the scrumptious breakfast the following morning. I couldn’t recommend this place enough.
We had 4 nights at the hotel. It was very quiet due to an event the hotel was doing off site. Michelle met us and checked us in and then waited on us like royalty. She was amazing and couldn’t do enough for us. The grounds and public rooms are lovely and bedroom was large and comfortable.
Beautiful room, four poster with gorgeous garden view. Real central heating was a bonus, no noisy aircon (although I think it's there for hotter weather which is great). Love this building, very peaceful.
