Lovely quirky room (Africa). Stayed with two dogs who each had beds, bowls and treats provided.. lovely bakery for breakfast where you could choose your breakfast items. Everyone very friendly and great pub (kings arms) opposite for evening food and drink. Perfect place
The room, facilities were fantastic. The little touches, Norfolk Natural Living….. bubble bath, shower gel and shampoo with conditioner, added to the quality of our stay! Bread source breakfast was delicious! Home made bread source biscuits with their amazing coffee in the room was lovely to have on arrival and again first thing in the morning. Highly recommend, everything was as advertised.
Room had all you’d want, plenty of tea, proper milk in a fridge, and real coffee.
Big room and the ornate bath was great. I thoroughly recommend this hotel😎🙅♂️
Incredible hidden gem of a hotel. Modern and unique with a zero staff check-in policy using digital keypads to access the rooms. Having breakfast included at the bakery downstairs was a real treat each morning!
Fab location, the pub across the road is super too and hold a must visit quiz night!
The Dial House operates a contactless check-in, which works really well. The room was fantastically decorated and very clean. The on-site bakery was very good value and a great breakfast option.
The hotel surpassed our expectations, so beautifully decorated and furnished everywhere. We spent 2 nights in the Raj suite which was perfect in every way with so many little touches that make a big difference. The bed was huge and so so comfortable, the bath was a treat and the shower was incredible. On top of all that the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we would like and gave a natural friendly service 😊
I have stayed in many places and I can safely say this was one of my top three! Cozy clean super comfortable the surrounding ( the village) quaint and gorgeous friendly bar downstairs gave first drink on the house for guests the breakfast was delicious and homemade wonderful service bed unbelievably comfortable I could move in ! Honestly I wish I could give it 100 stars and more ! We will go back for sure … Christmas lights( sweet and tasteful) were a bonus as were the homemade eco friendly decorations PERFECT!!
Best check in ever because there wasn't one. Just a code to your room, so you can go straight to it. Lovely location, and the room is decorated beautifully. I really liked this place. Well worth a visit.
Fabulous building and beautiful bedroom with lovely bathroom. Great decor throughout. The free beer or cocktail is a lovely touch. The only downside was our room was at the front of the hotel and we were woken by the constant slamming of the front door and people talking loudly outside early in the morning!

On the positive side, communication was excellent with quick replies via WhatsApp. The bed was very comfortable, the room (Parisian Garette) looked cosy, and the nearby café had friendly staff and nice cakes - pastries cold though.
Unfortunately, there were many small issues that negatively affected the stay. The pizzeria, café, and spa are advertised as hotel facilities but are actually separate businesses, which feels misleading. The Wi-Fi was advertised as 25+ Mbps but only reached around 4–14 Mbps during our stay.
Heating is controlled by the hotel with no option to adjust the temperature, making the room uncomfortably hot at night. The bathroom floor heating is automated and can’t be used when needed. On arrival, the bathroom was not clean — I found hairs in the bath, shower, and toilet. While this was later cleaned properly, it was a poor first impression.
There were only two power sockets, both far from the bed, making charging devices inconvenient.
Also a little note about some considerations, the ceilings of our room was low (I’m 182 cm), so not ideal for taller guests. Mobile signal was also very poor — we had both O2 and Three with almost no coverage in hotel and neighbourhood.
For a property marketed as 4 stars on Expedia and 5 stars on Google, this fell well short of expectations.
Stunning and unusual little hotel in lovely village square setting. Room was amazing, a real experience. Voucher for breakfast in downstairs cafe an added bonus. Free parking close by. Self check in worked a treat, staff on hand via whatsapp if required. Loved it!
Lovely stay overall. We stayed in the Africa room which was really nice and comfortable. It appears that the dial House is undergoing alterations but no info as to what's happening. Downstairs seating area was functional but nowhere near as nice and quirky as the last time I visited. Bread Source bakery served lovely pastries and coffees.
My only negative would be that 2 tea bags is not enough for a days stay and instant coffee would also be a welcome addition.

I feel that the stay was overpriced even though it was described as ‘Bread & Breakfast’.
Beautiful rooms but they are clearly wanting to have minimal staff thus you get the feel of no service.
Croissants and pastries and drinks to the value of £10 is not a good breakfast, even the offer of some fruit, granola, yogurt or milk would be an improvement. Disappointed compared with previous stays.
I stayed here with my partner for his birthday. Our room was fantastic! Very clean, any small extras that we could of thought of were included such as robes which was a nice touch.
The bed was huge and very comfortable. The luxury of a huge shower and roll top bath was a lovely extra.
Mini fridge in room was great to keep a bottle of wine cold. Tea and coffee facilities in the room were available.
The cafe/ bakery downstairs was lovely. Coffee was good and cakes/pastries were reasonably priced.
Free parking just around the corner from the B&B was fine and easy to get to.
Nice on over the road called the kings arms provided us with a delicious evening meal and we chose the right day to go as there was a pub quiz on!
All in all a great place to stay and with the different themed room I look forward to returning again.
The room was very nice and good value. Enjoyed having a bath in the bedroom (but no soap for the bath (had my own luckily),nice shower soap etc,but fixed to the wall in the bathroom, which is great for the shower itself and appreciated, but difficult to get some out for the bath,in the bedroom. No big deal, but just a small point. But the building suffers for a lack of a bar . It just feels too sterile with the lack of a front face to the business. There is a nice terrace to the front, which would be so much nicer to be able to have a sandwich /snack and a glass of wine. It seems a shame,as you can see there once was a very nice bar inside, downstairs,it was just too quiet for us.
One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in a long time. Clean, pleasant and stunning to say a few words… a star find and something fresh and unique for travellers to try ….. I would recommend this to anyone … 5 stars
