"Had a great stay at the Cambria! The staff were very friendly and eager to help. The room was comfortable with AC and had a nice bed. Only thing that caught me off guard was the shower, I had to fill up a big bucket in the bathroom and scoop water out with a cup to wash yourself. No big deal for me but I didn’t know that before getting to the hotel. Overall a great stay and would come back!"

"It was super noisy (loudest music I ever experienced) by the nearby night clubs till 2:30am, with no sleep and waking up early to do excursion. I was super tired due to lack of sleep that I had to cut my paid tour activities. "

"Honestly, no other word for this vacation other than paradise. You arrive by boat from Hellville directly to the private beach that the villas overlook. Sergio, the muscle man, takes our 30kg suitcases over his head and carries them up the stairs to our room. The master villa is beautiful, bathroom is spacious and clean, open-plan style shower and large sink, and a large mirror with great bright lighting. Mosquito nets over all the windows, doors, and of course the bed. Master bed was beautifully comfortable. Terrace was spacious with amazing loungers and views of the beach. The sun sets over the horizon. Further upstairs is the restaurant/ living area. Chef Jean Baptiste was the highlight of our entire stay in Madagascar. A kind, honest, humble man who is fantastic at his job. As a chef myself, all food was perfectly cooked, ingredient selection was perfect, presentation was beautiful. His service really made our stay feel 5*. Pricilla, the maid / housekeeper was also wonderful at tidying and refreshing our rooms every day, which further made the experience feel so luxury. Honestly, nothing but good reviews for this place. Everything was stunning, and clean, and homely. The views are just... speechless - and that beautiful starry night sky. I miss falling asleep to the sound of waves and crickets. You may also get visits from Lemurs in the trees above. Perfection. Thank you Dominque."

"3 night booking. I arrived at about 9pm on the first night after a long and tiring journey, but my room was not ready. I had to wait about 30 minutes whilst staff went to get towels and soap, as well as a floor-standing fan - there was a fan already in the room but it was broken with the guard cover on the floor. I asked about a room safe, and after a short wait 2 staff members came back in to the room carrying a large, shoddy looking wooden stand and a room safe. The safe was in a terrible condition and looked like it was about 50 years old. There was an a/c unit in the room but it was broken and not working. The internet was extremely slow (avg 20kbps!) and the towels supplied were cheap, paper thin & smelt terrible. There was no seat on the toilet bowl - seriously, how could any hotel offer a room to visitors that had no seat on the toilet bowl! The power went off for 2 or 3 hours at about 6am during the first morning which meant no electricity for the fan, making the room very hot and uncomfortable. Why was there no back-up generator? Also that first morning there was a problem with the water supply for the bathroom, I contacted staff and after a short wait the problem was resolved. That night the water supply went off again, but this time they were unable to fix it so they brought 2 buckets of cold water and a cup into the room for me to use to get washed! The next morning the water supply was still off. At this point I had had enough and decided to check out."
