A great stay! The reception is a little confusing to find but staff very friendly and welcoming, rooms are done to a very high standard and clean. Comfy beds and facilities very nice. Will definitely be back again.

Set on a golf course. The restaurant/ bar has a nice view of the lake. First room hadn't been cleaned and super strong smell of marijuana. Second room was fine, except the springs were coming out of the mattress at our feet. We only needed a one night stay so we couldn't be bothered to complain as there were no other rooms and I’m not sure if they have a night desk person.

Nice quiet, comfortable hotel in a convenient location. Breakfast offering is the only area needing improvement since our last visit. Not a great choice for cereals but good range of cooked breakfast but bacon had the white residue all over it!

Staff were fantastic. Room was clean. Only problem we would say is the temperature of the shower. It was warm and that was as hot as we could get it. Other than that we really enjoyed the bar and restaurant. The Sunday Roast was SUPERB.

On arriving our toilet was broken. Advised reception and was told would be fixed, when we returned nothing had been done about it. We were at a wedding all day so it was very late when getting back to the hotel so had to put up with a constant flushing toilet through the night. For the price I would have expected a coffee machine, which is pretty standard in boutique hotels when charging £130 a night, and breakfast £30 on top making it £160! Good location and bed was comfy. Excellent shower!

Not as good as its made up to be

We went for a golf weekend and found that on the first day the tee times were not organised properly with golfers coming off the 18th and going off the 1st clashed with our group. The hotel ran out of lunch items on the Sunday and the breakfast offering was poor and not much thought given to it with items constantly running out and lack of imagination. The hotel lacked any leadership which was not apparent with services being left to junior members who did their best.

Check in was easy and quick. Evening meal was simple enough bar food in a clubhouse environment. Breakfast was a complete debacle. Stated as 7am for breakfast. arrived at 7 am, lots or staff wandering around, breakfast not set up. Managed to attract a member of staff who told me they were setting up breakfast. waited another 15 minutes and stopped the chef and asked the same question. He pointed me to a member of staff who said just sit anywhere and help yourself. Finally sat down for breakfast at 7:20. What is obvious here is that Hotel guests are not catered for, everything was set up for golfers. very disappointed with the lack of service.

They cancelled my booking 3 hours before I was due to check in. My booking was to allow me to be with Friends and family for an important event. Instead with Expedia's help I had to book in somewhere else.
