"My gf and I went and it was great, the main pool was practically free most of the time due to the personal pools most rooms had. The room pool it’s self was lovely and a nice size, although if you get too close to the edge you can see/are visible to other rooms as the walls either side ends. Each morning you get a lovely breakfast basket of bread/pastries and then select your main dish from the menu. Really enjoyed!"

"Beautiful hotel, relatively small but with great service and views. We just went B&B, and there were plenty of decent restaurants in Lassi, only a 10 min walk away. Beware though, there are steps wherever you need to go within the hotel grounds so not ideal if you are not too mobile."

"Seriously, what can I say? Fabulous hotel with a beautiful location and amazing staff. we stayed for 10 nights in a sea view room, gorgeous view and great to sit on the balcony in the morning and evening , we had amazing breakfast every morning with wonderful, helpful staff, after 2 days they knew our coffee order without asking. All of the staff were lovely and so helpful. The reception staff , Angelika, Cassandra and Georgia were second to none. very informative and we were always greeted with a smile. There needs to be a special mention to Georgia. We discussed our day with her every evening, she gave us great recommendations for restaurants. We have left making a new friend in Kefalonia. She made everyone feel noticed. Thank you Grand Hotel , we will be back for sure ."

"Situated near the airport, the hotel/resort is easy to get to. The hotel will arrange airport transport for a small fee. It is well staffed and exceptionally clean. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is on the ocean with access to a nice nearby beach. Several economical restaurants are within 2-3 minutes walk. Rental cars are available at the property (requiring international driving license) and are a must for seeing the area and the island. There are no shuttles to nearby towns or other parts of the island, so the rental car is the way to go. The restaurant food is very good, as is the free breakfast. The only "down side" would be the for the breakfast buffet where food was not replaced for long periods, example fried eggs and other items went empty for a while before they were refreshed. Other than that the place is really nice."

"Excellent hotel with fabulous facilities. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Breakfast were very nice in the Selini Restaurant, lunch is the Gaia also very good. Dinner in the Gaia offered a wide selection of options however the Selini could have offered more choice including a fresh grilled fish dish. I would definitely stay there again if I was to return to Kefalonia."

"Start at the beginning, 5 minute drive from the airport although you wouldn't know it when you arrive, you get an incredible view of the planes landing but they are far enough away that you really can barely hear them (something I had considered when booking, needn't have worried).What 3 words is a fantastic tool for finding your way there as it would be easy to miss the tiny driveway. John was there to meet us and give us all the information we needed about the villa and the surroundings, he really is a mine of information and nothing is too much trouble. Villa Flora has everything you could ever need for a perfect holiday, the kitchen is well equipped, every bedroom has an en -suite shower room, comfortable living area, an abundance of outdoor seating and dining options and balconies to admire the absolutely stunning vista, especially at sunset. The welcome package of essential treats including milk, bread, eggs, cheese, honey,wine,beer and more was a lovely touch and meant we didn't have to go find groceries straight after a long day travelling. The pool, gardens and surrounding areas are beautifully presented and perfectly clean. Pool guys pop in twice weekly and are very unobtrusive. Plenty of options for a stroll in the surrounding lush countryside. Short drive or an ambitious walk to local shop, bakery and plenty of excellent options for eating out, again trust John for his recommendations. Absolutely would love to come back, maybe next year.
