"The location is great and very convenient, but unfortunately that’s the only positive. The host never responded to any messages, making communication extremely difficult. The property photos — many items shown are old, broken, or completely unusable. There was no outdoor lighting, and the glasses were dusty and poorly maintained. "The house felt (and even smelled) new and the whole place was modern, spacious, and a very hospitable atmosphere! We stayed there with our young kids and parents, and everyone enjoyed the stay and slept comfortably. If you're staying in the tatami rooms and are used to soft beds, then you'll likely find the bedding to be very firm. You can double up the mattresses and futon. Theres only one bath room, which is typical for homes in Japan and it was very nice and clean. And the sauna felt so good...
