"The house was clean and the kitchen was well equipped. The house is much smaller than it appears online. Most importantly is that within the booking it is not clear or obvious that bedding and bath towels are NOT included. When I reached out to see if I could pay an additional fee to have bedding and towels provided as we were traveling overseas, I never got a response. I never heard anything back we’d checked out and they were looking for a review. "

"Let's talk about the positives first. There is one - location. Nestled in the middle of a farm. Quiet and peaceful. Loved the surroundings. Also, the check in was quick. The property itself is nothing to rave about. It's in desperate need of maintenance. Dust, spiders everywhere. TV doesn't work. Kettle leaks. Shower is super leaky and floods the bathroom. Half of the windows don't have blinds which means at 4 AM, it's filled with light. The hostess seemed nice initially but kept insisting we pay cash so she can avoid paying taxes and fees. This was not mentioned at the time of the booking. Hotels.com charged me 27% in taxes and fees and she seemed to want to pocket it. We didn't have cash and she offered to accept card for an additional 5% fee. Absolutely ridiculous for an already expensive stay. She finally grudgingly accepted the payment through card. Plus she has this bad habit of talking over you. Does not want to listen to you anything you have to say. Overall 2 star experience for 4 star prices. Wouldn't recommend."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights at B&B Alloke. Our host provided great advice on local attractions & villages to visit plus restaurants in Nyborg. The room & location were excellent and quiet being in a rural setting plus the breakfast was very very good."
