Find Hotel Wedding Venues in Oake

Very friendly.

I stayed at the Farthings Hotel for 7 nights and found it a delightful spot located in the small village of Hatch Beauchamp, Somerset. I chose to have all my dinner meals at the Farthings restaurant despite the many other local options. The chef offered fresh fish (bream, sole, hake and salmon) cooked to perfection during my stay and could not resist having bream two nights in a row! The staff were friendly, helpful and made me feel welcome as a solo American traveler. The house itself was...

Beautiful!

The Hornsbury Mill is a very charming hotel, set in beautiful grounds with a little lake. The staff are very friendly and attentive and the bed comfortable. I had the full English (vegan) breakfast and it was very tasty. The one complaint I had was that when the very charming old mill wheel is on and turning (which they switch off at 8pm), the noise made a constant thud in my room and bothered me a little. I assume it won’t be too much of a bother though to most people, who would be in bed well...

We were visiting the Jurassic coast area and found this treasure. OK, it's not on the coast, but only a dozen miles from Lyme Regis, where accommodation prices are very steep. By going inland a little, we found this great old farmhouse turned into a hotel - a destination for weddings, but also a thoroughly nice place for regular travelers like us. It's in an unlikely setting. You wind through a mile or so of suburban housing on narrow streets. Follow the signs and suddenly you are on a road...

The Anchor Inn has a great location and the rooms and amenities do the job but are nothing special. My room space was tight, although the bed was comfortable and the shower performed adequately. The included cooked breakfast option is plentiful, freshly prepared and tasty. There's a good dinner menu in the bar and, again, the food seems freshly prepared. If the weather is good (which it was for one of the evenings that I was there), having dinner served out in the garden is very pleasant - a...

Beautiful countryside, very well maintained hotel, great food at dinner time and breakfast. We definitely recommend this place.

The room was beautiful and it was nice to have separate bedrooms and a fully stocked kitchen with big refrigerator. Grounds are beautiful and it was a quick drive down to Lyme Regis where we spent quite a bit of time enjoying the coast.

Highly recommended property with a lovely hostess (Sarah) and conscientious family staff. The castle and grounds are fantastic and the church was beautiful (we could only see the outside). I don't care for cats but the one here followed me everywhere and was very precocious. This is a peaceful and beautiful retreat and the castle is beautifully lit at night. Sarah even upgraded our room because we were the only visitors. A gracious hostess with lots of stories and interested us. What a treat.
