We really enjoyed our stay here at this home for New Year’s. Great views of Bass Lake and a nice quiet neighborhood. Plenty of space to relax for the whole family. House is super clean and well-appointed, and there were TVs in every room (a must for us)!
We all enjoyed our stay. The size of our party was 11 total, various ages. It was great to decide where we would all sleep as there were several options. The home was spacious, the amenities good. This has been a favorite and I’m sure we will be back.
Geat views, beautiful house, close to walking trails. The house was spacious and met our needs overall. However, the main drawback was that the fourth room, located on the top floor, was not connected to the main living areas. This setup made it a bit inconvenient for group activities or easy access.
Nice property for a family Vacation. The rooms are nice and big. Plenty of room in the backyard for your pet to run around. Downfall is that there may be random power outages. Thankfully there it was only out for about 1 hour.
The property was excellent, we were so happy during our visit. We had a great time visiting Yosemite really close to the house and Sequoia which was a little further but worth it.
It was my mom’s 87 birthday so she had an excellent time.
Thank you for such a great time in your home.
This property is beautiful!! Such a great place for our girls trip! As far as communication with the property owners they were super fast and responsive and extremely helpful!
Great experience, bunk house was a hit with the teenagers and ample space for everyone. Only think that could be improved are the beds, they are ready for replacement.
The property was absolutely perfect for Christmas away with our large family. It was very spacious and very clean. We were all able to be with each other without being cramped and on top of each other. And the backyard was so cute with plenty of space for our little dog to roam around. Would 100% stay again!
Great property! The location was easy to get to with beautiful views of Bass Lake. We had a family of 10 with our 5 dogs. We spent most of our time in the back yard which was perfect for the entire family. The kitchen was great and I really loved that the bedrooms all had TV's. I highly recommend this property for larger families and we hope to return soon!
Wonderful house to bring extended family together.
Our family is a little spread out and this was the perfect place to gather together. The kids loved that they had their own spot in the bunk house and the adults loved being able to each have their own room. Our host was very responsive and answered any questions we had. We had an amazing time exploring Bass Lake and Yosemite during our stay as well.
I booked for my daughter’s birthday as she wanted to have a snow trip this year. The house was very nice and accommodated my entire party which consisted of a few families. Communication with the property owner and house manager was great. We would absolutely stay again.
Great location- easy access to Oakhurst and Yosemite. Kitchen and family area was perfect for gathering. Clean and nicely decorated. Lots of nice little touches - cute coffee bar too! Nice backyard area as well but we didn’t use much. One of the rooms could use an updated mattress but everything else was fab. Enjoy
We loved our stay. So close to the lake and boat launch with plenty of parking for our family cars and boat. So nice that pets are allowed, that was a huge plus for us to bring our 3 Goldendoodle dogs! We were not able to let the dogs in the backyard as there were a ton of weeds and bushes with stickers that were a problem for our dogs but short haired dogs might have been fine. The owner was so kind, generous and easy to work with. Great communication with her. The house was well stocked with all the necessary supplies and kitchen items. Easy checkin and checkout process. It was a very hot week we were there and the ac unit in the apartment above the garage had a hard time keeping up with the extreme heat but the main house stayed nice and cool. Older home with some upgrades in the kitchen. Overall a really nice stay. Thank you!
This house is so nice. It had a lot of space for my family. More than enough for the amount of people who was in my party. The master is separate from the other rooms and has enough space for an inflatable bed. The front loft was perfect for my cousin who stayed with us. It was separate and perfect for him since it had its own kitchenette and living room. The back bunk house was perfect for my 17 y/o son. A nice gamer room. I loved how it was only 5 min away from the lake and the response for anything was quick from Stacy. Will definitely stay here again if possible.
Cute house with just the perfect amount of snow. Close enough to town for supplies but far enough away from town to feel like a cozy cabin. House Manager was very accommodating of our last minute booking. They allowed early check-in which was so helpful with the weather conditions.
Couple small downsides:
- the outside bunkhouse was way too cold to sleep in, even with the mini-split heater unit. Our kiddos ended up sleeping on the floor in the main house (totally fine, but we ultimately paid for beds that couldn’t be used)
- no foil, ziplock bags, saran wrap - this made us get creative with cooking + putting food away.
Overall great place! more ideal for spring or summer so the bunkhouse could be utilized for sleeping.
This was our first time visiting Bass Lake and our host was amazing when it came to suggestions and tips for fun activities to keep us entertained. She was also super quick about responding to any questions I had, usually within 2 minutes I had a response (sorry I bombarded you with the questions LOL) and super friendly. The property itself was beautiful, the backyard was AMAZING and completely ready to BBQ and have a little s'mores party in the fire pit in the back. WiFi worked, we had some spotty signal here and there throughout the property and the town but with the WiFi had no problem communicating. The main house was super comfy, heater worked perfectly the entire time, we did have to turn it off during the day because it got too warm for all of us staying there. The kitchen is completely stocked with all the pots, pans, cups, plates, and silverware you need, but take your own foil/serran wrap/ziplocks (got this from another review and it was a life saver). The tower was awesome as well, one of the couples stayed up there all weekend and had no complaints about the split heater or anything else. We didn't really use the bunk house, but it was a cool little space to hang out for a bit, maybe if you have a group who want to stay up super later playing games of what not and dont want to disturb anyone trying to sleep in the main house :) Loved the location, about a 5 minute drive down to the lake and a cute little shop/restaurant (you can try to walk there but the only paved road/path to it is the main streets and that would be like a 15-20 minute walk). About 7-10 minutes to the main part of the town it seemed like.
Overall had a really great experience, will recommend to anyone who wants to visit and will probably use this property again next time we head to that area.
We had a wonderful time in Oakhurst. The house was big enough for the 4 of us. The location was great because we could see Bass Lake from the front door. We liked how we were close to town. We will be back.
