Great location

The location was great, in the center of Oakhurst and very near to Yosemite. Everything was fine except the bathrooms had some issues, water wasn’t draining well and only one bathroom had hot water. Property owner said he will have it looked at.

I booked this newly renovated 2 bedroom but was “upgraded” to a 4 bedroom house. At first we were happy because it was a bigger place with more beds for 6 people. I expressed my thanks to the host. The place was at the top of the hill. It was clean but had an old musty smell that will greet you when you open the door. The kitchen had a newer stove and refrigerator. One bathroom was renovated but it did not have hot water. The other bathroom was old with dirty tub and the water in the shower was brown and rusty. It also did not have hot water. Two rooms had A/C but the other two did not. Sorry to say but my family would not recommend this place.

Renovated but still horrible

Smelled like fertilizer/manure in the house. Electrical outlets hanging out of the wall. Linens and towels have stains. We survive the night I guess.

Our short stay

Kevin was very nice; he let us check in a few hours early. There were a few issues that need to be addressed. Mice droppings were in ever bathroom cabinets drawer. The first night we had to flush a roach. The kitchen window sill was full of dead flies and the refrigerator and microwave were too soiled to use without first cleaning them. Window covers should be added in both the bathroom and kitchen for some privacy. Sponges were soiled beyond use, there were no paper towels and vent fan over stove had no power. The side deck was nice with chairs and lighting. Nice TV room and yard for the dogs.

Fraud Post

I was not given the place in the pictures. It was a totally different place. It was very old and not newly renovated at all. If I could give it zero stars I would. Worst experience ever. Kevin did not communicate at all and still hasn't. I didn't get the address until 1pm the day off which was nerve wrecking thinking I did not have a place to stay. Then after I got there and it was the wrong place. I texted him that it was the wrong place. He ignored me. I requested a small refund due to it being the wrong place and not having a fireplace which was my filter in my search and no response. This was my first time using vrbo and it was horrible. I still have not heard back from him. Its a fraud post and I cant believe this is happening after paying that amount of money and owner ignores me.
