"Positives - really lovely location a very short distance from Port Sunlight museum and Lady Lever Gallery. We booked for the guided tour and it was very enjoyable and interesting. Plenty of space for four adults - lovely lounge and huge very pretty main bedroom Ample hot water and good shower. However there was no lock at all on the toilet door and not one of the four of us were able to engage the bolt on the separate bathroom door. "The property was a great base for a short stay in Chester for a family of 5. We were no more than 15 minutes from some of the notable local attractions and amenities. The house itself suited our needs and was in a quiet neighbourhood. The house and rooms were of ample size to accommodate 2 adults and 3 children (all under 13)."

"The house wasnt cleaned, big balls of lint on the floor and we had to change all the sheets ourselves and put a lot of rubbish in the bin. There was no heating either so the house was freezing and the owner ignored all messages asking to turn it on remotely. It was a nice house but the issues with cleanliness and the heating ruined it."

"The house is beautifully decorated and has all the mod-cons you could need. The living area was spacious and there was plenty of seating for 4 adults and a child. "Great location , off street parking a plus. Clean bedding and towels . Enjoyed the Nespresso coffee machine ! Some decoration , furniture showing signs of wear and tear. . Pizza cutter and a bin in the bathroom would be good. Great for a short stay and communication from host fab ."

"A lovely quiet house. Beautifully clean and well provisioned. Some lovely touches such as boxes of toys for the little one! A quick walk into town for a lovely Sunday roast at The Rising Sun! Very convenient for a wedding at Duddon Mill!"

"A lovely, welcoming property, which was perfect for a catch up, with ample beds, towels and bedding, enough utensils for cooking a quick meal before relaxing with drinks on the patio, in the hot tub, in the airy living space or all of the above! "Perfect for exploring Chester on foot and close to the station. Lovely comfy beds but the house itself was not as clean as I would have liked and there are a few maintenance issues but nothing to spoil the stay. We had a great week there. The size of the house was perfect for our family of 5 with older teenagers, not a huge amount of living space for a bigger group though."

"After booking and paying in full the hosts went off grid, not only would they not respond to us, but Vrbo couldn’t get hold of them either. We were left with 3 children and a baby with nowhere to stay, 4 hours away from home. Avoid this host at all costs. Vrbo were equally unhelpful in resolving the matter, telling us to sort our own arrangements out for ourselves (at 5pm!). An incredibly stressful time, would absolutely not recommend these hosts, or Vrbo as a booking platform."

The house is in a great location – lovely, peaceful setting but close enough to Chester to get in and out of town easily.
