Hyatt Place Philadelphia/ King of Prussia

6/10 Okay

"I was disappointed as I have stayed in Hyatt resort properties before and while I didn't expect a resort experience it was subpar when compared to similar Hilton or Marriott properties. The breakfast area was dirty and the selection wasn't appealing. You had to hunt for utensils and napkins since they seemed to be scattered about and not together. When I arrived, I did not have wash cloths or hand towels. I got wash cloths by the next day but never got had towels. I like the walk in showers and that was a plus since I hate having to climb in a bathtub. Parking was ample and the location was good. The staff I interected with were helpful and friendly."

"The breakfast was better than most (except for the coffee- but you never get real coffee at hotels). The hostess at breakfast was so incredibly friendly and warm- I wanted to clone her and spread her kindness and friendliness all around. She was awesome."

"On day of check in, I had to wait 3 hours to get checked in because they had no one working at the front desk. Several other people who booked rooms were turned away because they didn’t have those rooms available. No one answers if you call down to the front desk. Toilets don’t flush."

"No regular coffee by 8:30am, nor dinners plates—only saucer sized plates, vanilla yogurt, only grape jelly packets, terrible tasting potatoes, unappetizing chorizo chicken, smoked chicken and sliced bright pink ham, no body soap in the shower receptive, one other receptical was broken and never replaced, one tv of two had no working remote, only one elevator worked, so we had to share it with service workers, often leaving no room to even get on the elevator. We could smell chemicals in the hall when we exited our room. One sophisticated gent said this particular Hilton was better called a HELLTON. Everyone was complaining."

"Check in was extremely delayed. The front desk team were doing their best. There was a massive back up with turning the rooms over which backed up the check in process. Once in the room the mattress was TERRIBLE!!! I had to take pillows and make a bed on the floor. It was my worst experience. I stayed there many years ago when the property first became a Hyatt house and it was an amazing experience. It became my preferred property when in town but after this I will not be reserving here again nor recommending it to others. Hopefully there is a change back to the way it was. Mattresses back to the original ones and hiring more cleaning staff."

"From the outside and the lobby it looks nice as soon as I got upstairs it was a different story. I had to push my door open a little harder than normal (this isn’t an issue) but my sink wasn’t draining properly, the shower wasn’t the cleanest and there was a stain on my sheets. Luckily this was only for a 24 hour stay, and I don’t think I will be back."

"Grand mother was in the hospital. And manager would not refund my money. I know the Hotel business is a little slow. But you would think the manager would have a heart and understand my situation. But enjoy the revenue. i will not be booking a stay here ever again. Thank you !"
