We had an amazing excellent stay at Bokatrip Oaxaca. Our host was very helpful and provided wonderful suggestions about restaurants and events in Oaxaca city and region as well as arranging our airport transportation. Highly recommended.
Bokatrip Xochimilco suggested several tours and helped organize them seamlessly. They were always quick to respond to my questions, making my stay even more enjoyable. The room was comfortable, the online staff was readily available, and the location was excellent.
Really loved our stay here. It was really clean and secure and walking distance to the center of town where restaurants, museums and great shopping were available.
A wonderful room to stay in.
No staff on site, but staff were attentive and quick when there was a small problem to be fixed. Very nice room, with lots of light and a good bed. Highly recommended, great value!
THIS IS NOT A HOTEL. It’s more like a hostel.
The kitchen in the photos is a shared space and it’s quite noisy with people coming and going. Every time someone uses water or flushes a toilet it activates a pump for a few minutes which is quite loud. Day and night.
We had quite a restless stay and I really feel like it’s very overpriced at around $150au per night.
It was clean enough and walking distance to the center. But I’m quite disappointed.
At first, it was a little hard to find and at first was a little confused as to where to enter the Codes, but once you get past rhat it really quite nice and centrally located
Very nice place to stay if you're looking for something quaint. The room that I stayed in was small but comfortable. No A/C but the fan was enough to keep everything cool. The shower head initially was leaking, but they came a replaced it the following day that I informed them of this which was awesome. The provide water and a shared kitchen area. The location is also quite convenient; not a far walk into the centre.

Wonderful first visit to Oaxaca
Great place! Quiet, affordable, very clean, comfortable, on walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, churches, museums. Great location!! Awesome attention and quick communication provided by Carlo. He kept in contact with me during my whole stay to make sure everything was going well, he offered recommendations on places to eat and visit and they were fantastic!!
I will definitely stay here again.
Bokatrip Xochimilco is a great location, very clean with a comfortable bed and great hot shower. It is basic. No front desk and personnel is not on site, but they are extremely responsive via WhatsApp. I plan to stay here again.
Great neighborhood. Very responsive owners who helped us get in early to drop off our bags, arranged a 5am taxi to the airport, and checked in with us daily to see if we needed anything. Very clean room. Neighborhood felt extremely safe. Lots to eat and see within 5 minutes walking. We will stay here again next time we come to Oaxaca.
We loved staying at this little hostel-like spot just north of Oaxaca's central district. It's just a short walk to the Zocalo and Museo de Culturas. Lots of great food options nearby. The small shared kitchen came in handy, and the bathroom and bed provided just what we needed. Nothing fancy, but well kept. It's on a side street without as much foot traffic, so it's mostly quiet.
I don't speak any Spanish and the staff went above and beyond in helping me out. When I couldn't figure out how to use the main door lock, someone came and helped me out. They helped me order food and arrange transportation when needed. I would definitely stay here again.
I really enjoyed my stay here. Note: There is no front desk or anything like that. You will receive a message with the code for the front door and your room shortly before your stay.
My room (#4) was comfortable and plenty of room for 1-2 people. There is a communal kitchen with a small fridge, stove and microwave. (I wish there was a fridge in the room!) My room was only made once during my 5 night stay; not sure if that is the norm, but was no problem for me.)
LOVED the location! About a 15 minute walk to the Xocalo, and there are tons or restaurants, bars and shops within easy walking distance. The area is quiet and safe. Overall, enjoyed my stay.
Location is the best quality of this property. If you don't need all the amenities of a recognizable hotel brand and just need a place to sleep and shower, this is a great option.
