I stayed here several times. Staff is great. Location is perfect. Bar is great. Food is ok. Two cons this time: quality of bath towels and I found a cockroach next to my bed when I arrive.

Pros: Location is excellent for great shops & restaurants. Food is excellent and terraces are beautiful with beautiful views. Most of the staff was very friendly. Cons: Room was next to kitchen, very noisy from 6am onwards, also can hear very loud music coming from their terrace bar until around 11pm. Room had very little natural sunlight.

The architecture and design was amazing, but the service was horrible. The bathroom was not cleaned when we arrived, and upon check out they charged us $7 for a small wash cloth we had used to clean the edge of the bathtub with. Additionally, they ruined one of our suitcase telescopic handle, had five maintenance staff trying to fix it,and failed, and refused to reimburse us or credit one night. Horrrible experience. Sad with such a beautiful design and view. I have travelled the world professionally for 25 years and this is definitely not a 5 star hotel.

Heart of Oaxaca! Beside Templo de Sto. Domingo

This hotel opened just a few months ago. The rooftop bar is still being finished but no construction work noise. Its street is adjacent to Templo de Sto. Domingo so once you go out of their door, you'll immediately see the church. The downside to a central location is the noise. The church bells will wake you up every morning about 7am and you'll hear the noise of the bars beside it. This is most likely the case for most hotels near Sto. Domingo or zocalo. It's also just beside Calle Alcala, the pedestrian street. I chose this hotel because it's new and the design is urban chic. Very clean rooms, comfy bed, good wifi, restaurant and bars are just beside it, There's no breakfast area, no gym, the concierge is very helpful. I highly recommend if you're not sensitive to noise!

Todo muy bien, solo falta capacitación del personal. Le pedí a la hostess de la entrada que me ayudara con algo de room service, pero ella me dijo que solo trabajaba para el restaurante. Cuándo le pregunte que era parte de Grupo Amantes, me hizo una cara de fuchi. Creo que la hospitalidad lo es todo, por más del excelente producto que tengan (habitaciones, restaurante, bar).
