Old school hotel across the street from Oaxaca's lovely busy zocolo. I've been visiting this grand old hotel for 40 years and it never disappoints.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff throughout the hotel. Many dining options in the area opposite the hotel. Very clean hotel. Location is central to many of the historic cathedrals and museums in Oaxaca.

Location is excellent, was worried about noise since it is right in the heart of the city, and others had mentioned it was noisy, but I experienced no problems. It is a little dated but nothing overly concerning.

Excellent location everything is steps away from hotel, building is old but it’s well designed and maintained, beds are greatly comfortable, bathroom is spacious, always hot water, a plus is that it has a/c and after a long day of walking and exploring Oaxaca, coming to a nice cool room makes a difference! Will definitely come back to this hotel!

Hotel location is great , parking was ok but not in the property if you get back after hours you have to call for them to open the parking door first day I had no idea and or info ,so parked on the street. Over all I recommend the hotel thank you

Location is excellent if you want to be in the center of things which we loved but on the last day of our stay there was a woman’s March that turned violent, they broke a large window in the hotel lobby and that was scary but the hotel was great

Located right at the Zocalo within walking distance of several shops and historical monuments and museums. My air conditioned room had a window facing the Zocalo, a bit noisy because of the street entertainment but I had no problem falling asleep. Very helpful and friendly staff. Will definitely come back here again.

Second time staying at this hotel. First time was great. Had a nice spacious room, clean and bright. Second time we got what seemed like the storage closet. It was dark and dingy. Bathroom was also dirty and window faced the hallway. Location is close to many restaurants and markets.

Super loud because the hotel is in the city center and there's no soundproofing on the windows. Pillows are old and riddled with dust mites. Beds are not particularly comfortable. The cleaning crew knocked our things under the bed and didn't pick them up. But the location was great and the staff was nice.
