We absolutely loved our stay at Luuna de Jade. Location was central and walking distance to most everything. The staff and service were top tier from check in to check out. We especially enjoyed the bar and restaurant, Mantis, where we were welcomed by Jocelyn with drinks, Alan with mezcal tastings and Yeshua with all the best recommendations. The hotel felt very cozy and accommodating, almost like a bed and breakfast, but way more vibey. We were especially impressed with the shower and its pressure. All in all a solid trip made better by Jade. Looking forward to our next visit.

We stayed here for an entire week, and very pleased with the comfort, service and location. I had the opportunity to try the Restaurant/Bar once, I am embarrassed to admit that I ate a hamburger ! It was very good though. The drinks are good too.... Luuna De Jade Hotel Boutique is the perfect place for celebrating a special occasion.

Property is fairly new. The decor, modern everything function properly in room. The staff who took care of the rooms was excellent. The front desk was always available for scheduling a taxi for any request that we may possibly have would recommend this to anyone.

This a 10/10 hotel, that’s truly a boutique upscale hotel. The staff is extremely helpful. They have us early check in and late check out and recommended great restaurants. The room is amazing, clean, spacious and very nicely decorated. The shower and bed are 5 stars. Loved our stay and we will definitely come back

Everything was fantastic, the property is in an excellent location for exploring Oaxaca City without a car. Even though our room was great, I should point out that the King Bed was too short for someone over 6' 2" tall. I would also like to see a microwave oven and cream for the espresso coffee. Despite these caveats, the room was excellent and the bed comfortable. My wife loves the shower and the water pressure was outstanding...... Tacos Roy is only a few steps away from the front door. Panaderia La Luna has good pan dulces and pastries for a low price. Ixu Cat Cafe is 3 blocks East if you love kitties..... Service is outstanding and they really go an extra mile to make your stay comfortable!

Lovely stay at Luuna de Jade! The staff was super helpful and attentive, the room was spacious and yes, the water pressure from the shower was amazingly strong. The bar, Mantis, has very delicious cocktails; note, though, that the sounds from the bar can carry over to the rooms due to the way the building is configured, but the bar closes around 11 so it shouldn’t be an issue for a quiet night’s sleep. In fact, the neighborhood is perfectly located on a quiet street while being in the gorgeous and lively Centro neighborhood. You’re a stone’s throw away from amazing coffee shops, restaurants, street tacos, and a convenience store around the corner.

The hotel was clean, the staff were very friendly, and the location was excellent. Especially since it's close to the central area... It was a great location to rest a little with the kids after lunch and then go sightseeing again in the afternoon. Be sure to try Welcome House Mix at Mantis Bar. You will fall deeply in love with mezcal's charm. It's hard to go on a date when traveling with children, but it's a great place for couples to have cocktails for a while. The taco place next to the hotel is also so delicious as a late-night snack.

This is a new hotel that opened on Oct 31st, 2025. The staff was very courteous and helpful. We had an issue with the AC and it was resolved very quickly. We got a room with 2 queen-size beds. The room was large and spotless. The hotel was also in a very good location within walking distance to all the places we wanted to visit. The Martis bar in the hotel was just the right size and served excellent food and drinks. Definitely will stay here again for our future visits to Oaxaca.

The hotel is not quite ready to be considered five star. It’s new, but lacking are communal lounge, patio, and reception. The value can be realized by limiting bar noise, providing comfortable chairs in room, and providing a social setting outside of the bar/breakfast service.

The “welcome” cocktail was a treat, a tasty introduction to mescal-based cocktails that are a Oaxacan specialty. Beautiful architecture and decor, and our room’s private terrace was an oasis of calm at the end of the day.

This is a special place. So much heart and passion went into the design and overall atmosphere. Staff is excellent and polite. I travel often and this is honestly one of the best boutique hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Congrats to Luuna de Jade!
