Very nice accommodations. There was some construction going on so during the day it was loud. Also, we had an issue with the air conditioning unit, it was loud and too noisy to get a good nights sleep. We had to turn it off (because there was no other option)which made for a warmer environment which was not ideal. Staff were awesome and they provided us with a map and great options for visiting places and dining.
The Marialicia was great. It had updated amenities very clean and the suites felt private. The location was perfect, not too far from the Zocalo ( within walking distance) and far away enough to be nice and quiet. I highly recommend this place and would stay again.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Staff were extremely friendly and room was very nice. Only point to note is the ground level rooms have small courtyard which backs onto rear of another room. When staff are waiting in this area to clean a room and they talking loudly it can be heard in the adjacent rooms which kind of annoying if you still in bed.
We thoroughly enjoyed this modern property. Great value for money. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Would love to stay here if we visit Oaxaca again.
We had a lovely stay here! The staff was gracious and helpful, the room was very nice and the location perfect! Close enough to walk to the Zocalo in about 10-15 minutes but far enough to he peaceful and quiet.
The suites were lovely, well stocked, a great layout.
The staff was very nice, had great suggestions for where to eat and caught see.
I’d stay there again. I like
Beautiful, quiet, little hotel in a great location for launching our Oaxaca adventures. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious.
Great stay ! I felt very welcomed and safe at the property, everyone was Very friendly and always available to answer any question . I will definitely be back .
Rooms were larger than normal with kitchen area, seating area and 2 separate bedrooms.
We had a late night check-in due to a flight delay and the staff had all the paperwork waiting for us when we walked in.
The cleanliness standards were 100% impressive.
The hotel is very quiet.
It is located in a very safe area with dozens of restaurants, cafes, mini marts and bars on the street.
Walking distance to the Zocalo (city center) was 15-20 minutes.
We had a lovely stay. The staff was very attentive. When we came in a bit late a couple of nights the property was locked for safety, but they came very quickly to open the door for us.
Dulce and the rest of the team gave us the best experience in Oaxaca, they went above and beyond to help us with everything, from scheduling a cab at 4:00am to give us plenty of information about the city. Quiet suite, got plenty of rest. I definitely recommend this place.
Our Family Suite (two BRs) was very contemporary with a good-sized kitchen and living room. Bed had lovely linen and a multitude of pillows. Nice bathrobes, too. Our room had a private outdoor patio. Our room provided a stylish, comfortable suite where we could relax between outings - just what we wanted.
The restaurant dominated the lobby area. We had breakfast once which was cooked fresh and nicely served.
The outdoor stone walkway connecting the rooms is beautiful with precise tiles, fountains and sprigs of greenery.
Marialicia is located 8 quiet, sometimes lonely, blocks from the zócalo and 11 blocks from Museum of Oaxacan Culture. For us, the ideal location would have been half that distance.
This is a small, botique hotel. During our January stay, we rarely saw other guests and we had to ask the maids to summon management when we had questions or needed reservations. Once found, they always provided recommendations and bookings. But, it often seemed like no one was around.
Beautiful property and friendly staff! The room was gorgeous and we loved the small private terrace.
Definitely recommend and I’ll be coming back to stay here for sure!
Our suite was big, clean, and very comfortable. We ate breakfast at the hotel every day, and it was really good. The courtyard is absolutely beautiful. Perhaps best of all, the staff was so kind and accommodating. A special shout out to Noe and Dulce, who both did their best to make our stay special.
Our stay was wonderful, the place was spotless and the team helped us with calling taxis and making morning lattes. Easy 7 block walk to Centro for great dining options. We felt very safe and well cared for. This is a gem!
A perfect spot to make your Oaxacan home base. Nice and very clean suites with everything we needed (small kitchen, indoor seating area, clean lovely bathroom and small table and chairs outside and mostly importantly a large and comfortable bed!). A good easy breakfast included.
But the best part was the wonderful and personable owner, Dulce. We came for Dias de los Muertos and Dulce (the magical owner!) made sure everything went perfectly!
Restaurant recommendations (all delicious!), short day trips that she would recommend and help organize transport for, and anything else you could possibly need.
Her staff were equally lovely and helpful (especially Neo).
We would definitely come back and bring our kids next time :).
