We were so pleased to discover this cottage which is ideal for a quiet getaway. Perfect location for visiting our family and friends in Benderloch. Also perfect for walks on the woods, on the mountains or on the shore of the loch. We look forward to returning in 2021.

If you enjoy a quiet out of the way of the madding crowd, it is the place to stay. It is a working farm, the farm house is part of the farm life. Excellent venue. We'll be returning again soon. This visit was our 4th time.

If you're looking for a self-catering break in Scotland, look no further! A beautiful, spacious cottage in a stunning location. And the hosts couldn't be more welcoming and accommodating.
A perfect balance between peace and solitude at the foot of Beinn Lora and convenience of having loch/beaches, shop and pub within 2 minutes drive.
Within 20 minutes you can either be in Oban (shops, restuarants, distillery & boat tours etc) or heading for higher ground up munros Ben Cruachan, Stob Daimh or Beinn Sgulaird.
Would recommend without reservation.

Everything about our holiday at Dalvuie Bead was excellent.
Everything about our holiday at Dalvuie Bead was excellent. The house is lovely and the owners were sk welcoming and accommodating. Our 5 year old son loved to see what was going on on the farm (as did we!) and our dog loved having another to play with. The house is very well located, close to the Connel bridge, making it easy to get to all the places we wanted to visit. We were very happy there and would love to visit again.

Dalvuie Beag is a delightful cottage.
Dalvuie Beag is a delightful cottage. The warm welcome on arrival from Max and Frankie (and Moss the sheepdog) sets the scene. There were fresh flowers, the farm's own eggs and even chocolates on arrival. The cottage is well equipped, comfortable and spacious. A good touch is the leaflets suggesting places to visit, these are thoughtfully accompanied by maps pinpointing the locations.
The cottage is on a working farm in a lovely rural setting but only a short drive from the ferry port of Oban where you can take a trip to the Hebridean islands. Here too there is a good range of supermarkets, other shops and a good choice of restaurants. A convenience store in Benderloch is very handy too.
We have already booked a return visit next year. And cannot recommend Dalvuie Beag highly enough. It is a wonderful place to stay.

We had one of my favourite holidays in many years at Dalvuie Beag and have already booked again for next year. The cottage is so cosy we didn’t have one evening meal out. We preferred to have time relaxing in the cosy cottage. Max and Frankie are extremely welcoming and helpful, and the caring and passionate way they care about their farm, all the animals and the cottage made me feel privileged to be staying there.
The cottage is very well equipped with everything you would have in your own home, and Max and Frankie have taken time to provide lots of information about the cottage, the area, and activities. This includes humorous photo albums about some of the animals living there, mainly Charlotte the Sheep and her offspring. Also an album showing a Year at Dalvuie Beag, and it’s renovation into the cottage as it is today by Max.

We had a wonderful time.
We had a wonderful time. The cottage was more like a home than a rental. Max and Frankie were great hosts. It was lovely to be on a working farm during lambing. Our grandsons loved the farm and the animals, especially Moss the dog. The cottage had 2 open fires and 2 TVs,which meant plenty of room for everyone's taste. The furniture was comfortable and plentiful and the bedrooms were really nice. The property had 3 toilets and a large bath with an excellent shower. There was plenty to do locally, including walks. The cottage was handy for local amenities. We have rented properties in West Scotland for many years : Dalvuie Beag is the nicest we have come across. The welcoming fresh flowers, chocolates etc were a nice touch. We would return here if we had the chance in The future.
