Private historic district apt with pool-suite B

This Frame Vernacular Style Home was built in 1918. It is named for Emanuel Martin who was a partner in the Law Firm Martin and Hocker. His family were among the first settlers to Marion County in the 1840s.

This one bedroom apartment is on the first floor of the Martin Estate. There are three apartments on the property. The apartment is about 800 square feet contains its own private entrance, kitchen with dining bar/living room area, bathroom, large bedroom, and a pool/yard which is shared among the apartments.

The kitchen features a bar to dine at, a refrigerator, bult in induction cooktop, coffee maker, toaster, air fryer, microwave, and essentials like salt/pepper, oil, tea, coffee, creamer, sugar, etc. We do include a welcome gift of pastries to get you started on your first morning.

The living room area features a convertible sectional sofa (which can sleep one guest or two children), an electric fireplace, along with a smart TV. The TV is a smart TV so bring along your login information for Hulu, Netflix, prime etc. If you don’t have a membership, each app offers free trials in addition to the other free apps on Roku and live TV tile on Roku.

The bathroom features a claw foot tub with a shower head, fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and towels. Note-it is a historic claw foot tub with shower head, you must be able to step in and out.

The large bedroom features a Queen-sized bed with topper, two closets, sound machine, ceiling fan, smart TV, sitting area, decorative fireplace, a desk/workspace, along with an extra pillow and blanket. There is also a washer/dryer combo unit for your use along with an iron and ironing board.

The front deck features two rocking chairs and a table. The back deck/pool area is shared with a large pool, deck with outdoor dining table, gas grill, outdoor sun loungers, pool floats, and an outdoor gas firepit. There are two bikes available for use that are shared among the two suites. Parking is off street in the grassy driveway.

**We offer one of the most affordable rates for a one bedroom within walking distance to the downtown restaurants/bars, shops, and entertainment.

**There is no pet fee, no additional person fee, only a $60 cleaning fee (now included in rate) Guests are not asked to do laundry/cleaning etc. as housekeepers will take care of it upon check out. Each apartment is cleaned by professional housekeepers who are paid by the cleaning fee with no markup for the owner.

Guests have access to the entire apartment. There is a private entrance, master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a kitchenette/living room area with built in dining bar. There is a washer/dryer combo in the apartment as well.

Check in is available with smart lock. I’m available by email, text or phone.

The apartment is a 10 minute walk through the historic district to the downtown square where you can enjoy dining, shopping, and live music.

Art walk is the first Friday of each month from 6pm-9pm in the square. The event does pause for the summer months.

The downtown farmers market is held each Saturday from 9am-2pm

We are located 8 miles from the new World Equestrian Center and 6 miles from Silver Springs State Park.

Waking to downtown is about a quarter of a mile. The historic district is filled with amazing architecture to gaze at as you stroll down the street. A car is recommended for longer distances. There is a limited bus system in the city as well.

Smoking allowed only outside. Pets allowed with approval that are quiet, non aggressive with flea prevention and up to date shots. This home has three suites, please be respectful of noise especially after 10 pm.
