I brought my 2 daughters (11 & 14) and one of their friends on a short getaway booked only a few weeks in advance. This was one of the few properties available & I think it might be a new listing.
Pro's: The location is pretty good - one block to the boardwalk (near the Kite Loft) & tucked between the main roads so not too loud. There is a partial view of the ocean from the wrap around balcony. Balcony is long but not wide; it is loud outside (car traffic and tons and tons of people) so we didn't spend much time outside. The condo itself is very large; lots of room for your stuff, tons of closet space, two full bathrooms & two large bedrooms. There is a washer & dryer (although the dryer takes a long time to run, just beware, don't wait till the last minute to do laundry). The AC was set on 68 and worked beautifully. Management was responsive to several issues we had & came promptly. The property does come with one parking space, & we had no problems finding a space (although there's not many) when we came and went.
Con's:
1. If you have a large car (we have a Ram 1500 truck) the parking spaces are VERY tight. Twice we had to pay for parking across the street because other large trucks were parked & I could not get in to park my truck.
2. When we entered the condo, all the chairs were still stacked on the dining room table & the island so we had to put them all down. Under them, the areas had not been cleaned and were dirty. Not the end of the world but not a great way to start out. There was also a window left open, on a hot day, not sure why the cleaners didn't close it.
3. There is no decoration of any type - it is bare bones. The furniture is very dated, the too-small couches are very dirty, there is a lamp broken and glued back together, there are minimal provisions in the kitchen - no forks - and very few things to cook with. The fan in the guest bedroom looks like it is about to explode when on high, & the master bedroom door does not stay closed. There are extra towels provided, toilet paper & tissues but no paper towels. There's also not any extra blankets, pillows, etc.
4. Lastly, they need to leave some welcome materials that leave instructions for things in the unit and check out procedures. The TV was difficult to figure out, no channel guide, the balcony door required special knowledge on how to lock it (the maintenance guy helped us out with both) and no directions on what you need to do when you leave (i.e. trash)
