"We had an amazing vacation at "Rick's Place" in Milolii Beach on the Big island. Dan is the best Host we have ever had, We arrived late and the doors were open with a beautiful breeze flowing through the house and lovely Hawaiian music playing. The house was so clean and the bed was very comfortable. Sleeping every night with the sound of crashing waves and gentle breezes was heavenly. Dan has everything one could need, The kitchen was stocked with supplies, dishwasher soap, tons of utensils and dishware and pots, pans, coffee makers...couldn't ask for more! We loved the pool and swan daily. Water was good temperature and pool very clean. Sitting out on the point that lead down from the home made for many sweet afternoons. The waves crashing up on the lava cliffs was spectacular. We wanted to avoid Resorts for a change and this was perfect. If you want complete peace, quiet and isolation this is your place.I also enjoyed those little geckos that wandered about with their beautiful colors. Friendly little creatures.We had many great adventures snorkeling and pods of dolphins swam alongside and under our boat trip to Captain Cook. The people were all so kind and helpful. I drove into the little village of Milolii and met some cool natives. Most important thing is to honor and respect the people and the island and in return you will be given such kindness. We enjoyed grilling fresh fish as Dan has a gas grill. Mahalo Dan! We will be back!"

"If you’re looking to visit the Big Island and stay away from the crowds then this is the place for you. We took the advise from many of the people who stayed here before us and brought our food for the duration of our visit but there are grocery stores in both direction on Hwy 11 so you can alway pick up items if you need to. The neighborhood is quiet and the waves crashing on the rocks right below the deck were awesome. The kitchen had everything that we needed and the home was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves. The check in process was easy and we never had a need to contact the property manager or the owner. We’ll be back to enjoy this place again. "

"Such a beautiful property. We had an ocean view. Very clean and comfortable unit. Lovely patio and beautiful surroundings. We didn’t need the air conditioning (extra cost) with the fan and the ocean breeze we were completely comfortable sleeping. We hope to return someday for a longer visit. "

"Myra's Blue Hawaiian House is a hidden gem on the south side of Hawaii's Big island that shouldn't be missed. Perfectly located to make day trips to south island spots like Punaluu black sand beach, Volcano national park, the Kona coffee district, or to just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.The home is delightful, very well kept, nicely decorated, and fully guest ready. Your host Myra has truly thought of everything a guest could want; coffee and teas, books to read, beach gear, Dish TV and full internet connectivity, propane BBQ grill and fire pit. Just too much to mention. I was impressed by the genuine thought and care she has put into every detail. Enjoy dinner and drinks at nearby Kaloki's, or Ocean View Pizzaria (awesome bakery too). Or get some big island beef and fixings at Malama Market and BBQ at home.Ocean View is an interesting and eclectic community of people who choose to live their own way. If you're looking for a unique way to experience Hawaii in comfort and style, I can think of no better place than Myra's blue Hawaiian house, I just love it. We live on Oahu and make frequent visits to Big Island where we've experienced good, and not so good accommodations. Myra's Blue Hawaiian House scores a 10 with me."

"What a wonderful place to stay. These yurts are easily the best-appointed VRBOs I’ve ever stayed in. The little touches to make it comfortable and help out if you forgot something are great! The yurts are very clean and comfortable. The host was friendly and helpful from start to finish. He even gave us a calendar of Hawaii as a parting gift. Really great place. I highly recommend it!"

"Very clean home, has everything you could need, fresh water for drinking. Great views from the deck, quiet and safe neighborhood a bonus! Had a cooler for us to take to the beach, beach chairs, all kinds of stuff available for use. Loved relaxing on the screened deck mornings and evenings. Host responded quickly to a question we had. Accommodations and Host were great! Would def come back next time!"
