Oceanfront - Private Beach!

Our spectacular beach property is 'On The Sand,' offering its own private beach while providing white water views and soothing ocean sounds (you hear the surf in every room). It has a bright beachy decor and a quiet location - conveniently located halfway between the Village in Carlsbad and the Pier in Oceanside (we walk on the sand to both).

This completely renovated home is fully furnished (we relax here frequently) and offers sweeping ocean views from La Jolla to Catalina. You can watch the dolphins play or the whales spout from the living room, deck, or beach.

At night, visit one of the area's fine restaurants or simply dine on the beach while watching the beautiful sun set over the Pacific. During the day, relax on the beach or enjoy the numerous activities that are unique to this fabulous destination.

DETAILS

This listing is for UNIT B.

UNIT B (sleeps 1 to 6): Has 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms and has a California king size bed in the master bedroom, a full size on the bottom and twin on top (bunk bed) in the guest bedroom, and a queen size sofa sleeper in the living room.

There are 3 different units. Unit A (2 Bd, 1 Ba - sleeps 6), Unit B (2 Bd, 2 Ba - sleeps 6), and Unit C (1 Bd, 1 Ba - sleeps 4). Unit A is VRBO #882233, Unit C is VRBO #253036, and all 3 units are VRBO #882235.

The units are vertically arranged with Unit A at the street level, Unit B in the middle, and Unit C at the sand level. All 3 units face the ocean, have oceanfront decks, and share the private beach.

Our beach house is 'well cared for' since we personally (as well as our family) stay in all 3 units, and we do have wireless broadband internet access. Over the years, we have had 100s of delighted beach loving guests.

Cozy family-friendly beachside

The perfect spot for a family with young kids. The fenced in beach was an amazing play area. Conveniently located to downtown Oceanside. Would book again.

Perfect get away

We wanted to eat, sleep and hear the ocean and boy did this place deliver. The buccaneer has the best food right down the street. We will definitely be back. Unit B is the place to be. The weather was perfect. too. Kelley was very attentive as well.

So nice to be right on the beach

Being right on the beach was so fun. Having the fantastic ocean view made our stay magical. We saw dolphins swim by every day, and at low tide the beach is right there. At high tide the waves crash up on the rocks which was also fun, even though it makes getting to the beach less realistic.

Perfect oceanfront getaway!

Nice place to stay with incredible views from the large balcony. Loved being right on the oceanfront and walking the beach with the kiddos at low tide. Made for a great stay in Oceanside!

Nice place to stay

The property has a super view and easy access to beaches. Two bathrooms are a plus. Restaurants and attractions are close by in both Oceanside and Carlabad. One can get lost in watching the ocean and the surf from the deck.

Great Bday beach weekend

We stayed Thursday to Monday. Great location, best beach for walking once low tide comes. We spent most of our time on the balcony watching dolphins and enjoying the beautiful sunsets. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved the private beach and views

We enjoyed the condo, especially the views of the ocean, parking was never an issue. Bedrooms were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. The master bathroom did not have soap or shampoo, which was a slight inconvenience. There was quite a bit of noise from the renters over us, again annoying but nothing that was in the control of the property managers. We would stay there again and would recommend the place, it was priced well for the location, accommodations and views.

Short trip for a lacrosse tournament

We had a blast! We were here for a short stay for a lacrosse tournament for my son. This was the perfect location - easy to get to restaurants and entertainment. The beach was amazing. Fantastic sunsets and the boys even got in some surfing - so nice to have to right in the backyard. Will be back for sure!

Affordable ocean views

Mostly everything was wonderful. Loved the location. Fit everyone comfortably. We planned to play in the water all day, but you can’t go down to the ocean until low tide. Also first vrbo I ever stayed in that you had to use coins to use the washer and dryer. Very frustrating.

Majestic location

Everyone in the family had a great time. The deck is splendid, looking out on the surfers, and my wife did her yoga practice and art work out there. A spectacular breakfast spot. The kids loved the bunk bed, the sandy backyard with abundant toys, imitating yoga poses, even the bath. The kitchen was very well equipped and a lot of cooking was done. The beds were very comfortable and the sound of the waves, a lullaby. The owner was super responsive and went out of her way to make everything perfect. The washer and dryer were essential but putting in quarters shouldn't be necessary. Get there or be unfashionably absent.

Exceeded all expectations

So very pleased with everything about our stay. The owners are delightful. Clean. Very well maintained. Yes, the beach comes up to the rocks but st low tide you can enjoy the sand and beauty of being right on the ocean. Kitchen is fully stocked. Rooms are lovely. No plumbing issues or cable or issues of any kind. The deck is spacious and newly built. I recommend this to anyone looking for a getaway that is both private but also walkable to anywhere on the oceanfront. Thank you Kelley and Wes. Such a pleasure to meet you and we will return!! Maybe to rent all 3 units for a family reunion. Hopefully soon!!

Amazing white water views!

We've visited this property a number of times over the years. It is one of the most reasonably priced properties with the absolutely best ocean views of breaking waves. It has always been very clean. There are a lot of nearby tourist activities, although we just about always end of staying there on the balcony watching the waves roll in, with the gorgeous sunsets and beautiful sunrises. The apartment is very cute, decorated in beachy accents with ceramic fish tiles, and some beautiful mosaic and shell mirrors. The kitchen is well stocked with lovely dishes and lots of glassware and all the pots and pans and utensils you would need. There is no air conditioning, but with the ocean breezes you don't need A/C, just leave the balcony doors open. Whenever we get the chance, this is our go-to beach place.

Fantastic property right on the beach. My wife and I stayed in the middle unit (B). The porch is quite large with comfortable seating. The private beach is easy to access down the stairs along the side of the building. The private beach is elevated from the public beach, through a gate and down well maintained stairs about 15 feet where a rock barrier protects the properties. At high tide the public beach is largely inaccessible, but at low tide there is plenty of beach area. The charcoal Webber grill is in good shape, and if you bring firewood there is a fire ring you can use to grill s’mores under the stars. We stayed in early September and the weather was perfect. A little overcast some mornings but sunny by late morning with temps in the high 70s to low 80s. We brought all our food, and didn’t go out even one time. The kitchen had everything we needed. The host is attentive, helpful, and friendly. We will be back!
