Upon entering the first level of the home, there is a large beautiful granite kitchen with stainless appliances and cherry wood cabinetry, and an oceanfront living room with amazing views. There is also a private courtyard area, perfect for barbecuing. Central AC is available for those hot sunny days.

PARKING: 3 cars (2 Car Garage & 1 Driveway Space Parked Horizontally)

Additional parking is available at our office, located at 1640 Oceanside Blvd., Oceanside CA 92054.

All homes in Oceanside, CA sit behind a rock barrier protecting the homes from storm surges. The amount of sand beyond the rock barrier varies quickly with storms and tides and may have more or less sand than what is shown in the photos.

I will say that I was not happy about the air conditioning. We were all dying. We had every fan on and it still did not cool the place off so unless you change it where we can control the temperature I probably would never stay here again.

Perfect ocean side spot

Great house with plenty of space for our whole group. Small issue where the garage wouldn’t close so just had do so manually but other than that. Perfect.

Beach paradise!

All of our kids and 9 grandkids came together from as far away as Washington for 3 days of adventure, chaos, and fun! Not only were the days beautiful and the waves great, we were able to access the beach from the backyard during the 4 hours of lower tides. That was a game changer to be able to go to the beach straight from the house. Kevin welcomed us at the house and gave us a showing of house everything worked. We will definitely do a repeat for next year!!!!

Disappointed

I write to address a series of issues encountered during our recent family reunion at your Oceanside property. Our experience fell significantly short of expectations, and I believe it's important you're aware of these shortcomings. 1. **Air Condition**: It is a basic expectation that they should be operational. We were left inconvenienced multiple times during our stay. 2. **Oven Replacement**: A major appliance failing and requiring replacement during our stay is unacceptable and disrupted our planned meals. 3. **Lack of Beach Access**: This was the most distressing oversight. We specifically selected Oceanside for the beach experience, with family members flying in specifically for this. The omission of this critical detail in the listing caused considerable disappointment, especially for our elder family members who were particularly looking forward to it. Your photo of the property shows a sandy beach behind the house and that was not the case. Given these significant issues and considering the premium we paid: a) I urged them you to immediately update the listing to reflect the true state of the property and its amenities, ensuring future renters are adequately informed. b) We believe a 50% refund is both fair and necessary, reflecting the disparity between our expectations and reality. THEY DECLINED TO OFFER ANY REFUND WHATSOEVER.

Surprise 70th birthday party - 13 guests

The property was beautiful. We particularly enjoyed watching the dolphins frolic and bonfires with s’mores. We wished we had better ability to open windows on the 2nd and 3rd floor as well as the sliding glass doors on the ground level so we could get better ventilation/breeze and ability to hear the surf! The oven would not heat above 185 degrees. We mostly bbq’d and used the cooktop. Nice kitchen space with more than adequate fridge/freezer space between the kitchen and garage. We very much enjoyed our stay!

Surf trip with the boys

We had a great trip playing outdoor games, surfing and enjoying bonfires. Awesome spot that provides enough bedrooms for all to sleep comfortably.

Beach reunion

Great property, great views, plenty of space and very comfortable for a large group. Air conditioning was fine in the bedrooms but the main living space got very warm on sunny days as the windows didn't open. The beach is not as nice as in the pictures and is inaccessible for much of the day as the tide comes all the way into the rocks. Outdoor area is great and kids had fun in the ocean once the tide went out.

Amazing home, pictures do not do this home and view justice

Easy to book, check in and out. This home was more than we expected, 3 story home with oceanfront views and a private beach. Large beautiful kitchen fully st ones with everything you could ever need. Counting the days until we return.

Our stay

There were 2 rooms that had broken windows meaning a huge gap to let in the cold air .. we were staying at this property when it was windy and cool! We were also planning on having our children play with the fosball game that was pictured in the house on the website but when we arrived there was nothing! So needless to say the kids (& parents) were all disappointed

Misrepresentation of property

On arrival the house was not ready. We waited 2 hours for remodeling crew and cleaners to leave. When we able to enter, to our horror, we discovered that the key feature of the home, the beautiful master bedroom and en-suite with a private sunroom, had been remodeled into FOUR small bedrooms, NONE of which had an en-suite bathroom. The new small bedrooms were without nightstands and closets. Instead they were equipped with a basic clothes rack! Bizarrely, the walls between some of these bedrooms were just the original external windows, compromising both privacy and comfort. The ONLY indication we were given that there had been a remodel was a call the day before we arrived, saying that the sunroom had been turned into an extra bedroom, and “apart from that, everything is exactly the same”. The remodel was unfinished, floors were liberally splattered with paint, door handles were missing, one bathroom had exposed drywall as it had not been tiled, some smoke detectors still had construction tape in place, rendering them useless. The customer service throughout our visit was lacking. We raised concerns about some electrical and lighting issues in the house, but our calls were not returned. We were also promised a commercial settlement for the misrepresentation of the property. VRBO advised us that the property should have been removed from the listing during the remodeling, then re-listed with the new specifications. VRBO opened a complaint against the property management company, Beachfront Only, and is now representing us in the matter as our calls requesting compensation to Beachfront Only were not returned. In summary, the Oceanside location is very pleasant, but the remodel had clearly created a number of issues which need to be investigated and addressed prior to any subsequent guests, these include a number of safety issues which we will report directly to VRBO. Our entire party was very disappointed that Beachfront Only had misrepresented this property and therefore mismanaged our expectations.

Working on vacation

This property was beautiful. Although, the house was warm when we arrived. at first the maintenance man came and the unit was broken, he tired his best to fix but It was 85 degrees and I would have liked to come in to a cool home to relax, as we all know a 3 story home doesn't cool down quickly. All electricity was on a timer and during the night we had to get up every four hours to turn on the timer for A/C unit. There was also spider webs all over the porch and outside area. We also had a mouse in the kitchen, while I was having a chef prepare dinner for our party. The maintenance man did come and put out traps but as you know the mouse wasn't going to come out while people are there. it eventually was caught by my hired chef in the cabinet. With that being said we had to wash everything in the cabinets prior to use. I felt I did more talking to maintenance people regarding AC unit and critters than I did relaxing and enjoying myself. I would love some sort of compensation for the inconvenience..

We never wanted to leave

It's true... none of us wanted to leave - ever. We are from SF Bay area and needed a family getaway at warm beach, drive-able distance (for Covid safety) in VERY nice house with fantastic view - we got exactly what we needed. We planned our trip months ago but timing was great as we got away from fires and smoke here in Nor Cal to the beautiful clear air in Oceanside, lovely weather, great beach and luxurious house. We had only 6 of us (all adults) plus our dog, which worked out perfectly. The house has so many levels and spaces...great to all be together but also worked very well for privacy when needed for those doing Zoom work calls or just in need of some quiet time. One area not shown in web pics is the front courtyard. This space was great for barbecue (close to kitchen) plus just plain lovely with succulent garden and privacy from street. We also found the neighbors and people on the beach to be fun and friendly even with beach access next to house. This access actually gave us a bit more space between houses so was a net plus we thought. We will be back for sure...thank you for sharing this bit of paradise with our family.

Great Home, Great Location

The home definitely lived up to everything we'd read about, and more. We were very happy. Only a couple of points I'd like to make.... communication between property management and service workers was poor. We had workers show up at the house at 8am both days we were there. Both sets of workers said they didn't realize the home was occupied. Very frustrating. And, the home was next to a public access path from the street to the beach. So, there were many many people all day long walking down the path and looking over our fence. Our "private" beach was not so private.

We had a handful of maintenance issues throughout our stay; some were fixed and others were not.

Overall, we had an enjoyable family outing. However, the property needs some repair and the listing needs to be very clear that the ground level does not have interior access to the rest of the property...not good. The property management folks were very good to work with...that's a plus!
