"We spent a night in the Eddy Lodge on our way back home. It's in a quiet village in a farm setting. Parking is on a private driveway near the Lodge. The accommodation is a mini house with a double bed, kitchen/living room and a shower room, all overlooking the fields at the back of the farm. The immediate grounds are fenced in, which was useful as we had our dog with us. Overall, a comfortable night's stay."

"Allereerst is de locatie fantastisch. Het is het bovenste appartement van het gebouw met terras en uitzicht over het bos. Het appartement was echter een stuk kleiner dan verwacht. Een van de slaapkamers (met het stapelbed) was eigenlijk een veredelde kast. De andere slaapkamer was wel iets groter, maar naast het bed was er geen ruimte meer. Prima voor een nacht, maar we zouden hier met zijn vieren niet veel langer willen blijven."

Top Ochamps Hotel Reviews

Le Merceny Motel

10/10 Excellent

"Don’t be put off by the initial impression. This is above a petrol station ! However that means there is parking and 2 car charger slots and a shop open until 10pm. Room is very big, excellent aircon and shower. Coffee machine and fridge. In the petrol station is a small cafe which did breakfast but also a bakery in the shop which does croissants for 1 euro. Easy walk into town. Great for a stop over"

La Barrière de Transinne

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel is located at a roundabout in the middle of nowhere. The location was mostly beneficial to us, as we wanted to visit different places that were all within a reasonable driving distance. (Luxemburg, Dinant, Rochefort, Bastogne, Namur.) The service was good and the rooms were nice. The breakfast was remarkably good, among the best i can recall in terms of quality, though the selection was somewhat limited. The lady arranging the breakfast was particularly nice. Dinner at the restaurant was also fantastic. The restaurant requires reservations for dinner, but they still accommodated us the first night when we were unprepared. This place almost felt like a hidden gem, particularly at this price, though that is likely due to location. Even so there were a few things that bothered us a bit: the rooms are not well ventilated and the heat in the summer was unpleasant, though we did get a fan to mitigate this. Three out of four mornings we were woken up by noise outside in the mornings (we had the windows wide open). One morning it was the music at the patio 0730, the next it was hedge trimming at 0830, then it was the truck delivering supplies at 0630. All of this by the hotels services, there was also a garbage truck and some road noise (the speed limit outside is 70kph), but that is more or less as expected. Shutting the windows mostly cut off the noise enough to go back to sleep for a while longer."

Hotel Château Palacio

10/10 Excellent

"most beautiful place where we have ever stayed !! the rooms were huge and the restaurant was the best we have had all in europe! There is a private court yard and it is a beautiful castle in a quiet little town. This is family owned and they are very nice ,sweet and hospitable. This will be our best kept fairy tale when we come back next year and for years to come. Makes us feel like royalty and the bathrobes and slippers and all the extra towels highly recommend this !!"

B&B Les Trois Voisins

10/10 Excellent

"I stayed just one night as I was travelling through the area. The gentleman owner was very friendly and accommodating putting me in a bedroom overlooking the back gardens, I think away from the sun. Outside it had been 36 degrees all day but the room was a pleasant temperature to sleep in. I arrived late, about 19.30 hrs but I was offered dinner which was very welcome. Sitting outside on the terrace with a Kir aperitif that the gentleman makes was delightful and delicious. I was brought a little homemade pancetta to enjoy whilst my dinner was cooked. A group of four ladies staying in one of the gites came to have dinner also. The owner was apologetic about my wait as he now had 5 meals to cook instead of 1. More pancetta arrived! My dinner of steak, frites and salad was excellent as was the beer selection. His homemade ice cream was superb, highly recommended. Breakfast was a nice casual one with fresh croissant, bread, cheese, cold meat and he cooked me a fried egg. Coffee was very nice as were his homemade jams. Les Trois Voisins is I believe a collection of several houses with a large cottage style garden to the rear. There is a play room with I think a football machine, a juke box and plenty of boxed games. There is an indoor pool but I didn't try that. The property I stayed in is very quaint and the dining and breakfast room delightful with old brick flooring and bare brick walls. The B&B can clearly cater for a large group of people. I recommend it."
