Modern, cozy, Studio Apartment

Slip away for a night (or 3) away from the hustle and bustle in this cozy, quiet, newly remodeled summer cottage in the country. Porches on two sides with a swing and comfortable chairs is the perfect place to sip your fresh coffee in the morning or wind down with a glass of wine at night.
This cottage had been an old summer kitchen that we renovated for a guest house. Farm fresh eggs will await you for your breakfast. The garden next to the cottage is available for in-season vegetable as well as fresh herbs grown in beds around the porches.
The cottage is located in what was once a pecan orchard and surrounded by cotton fields
The spacious bathroom has a shower/tub combo and marble vanity top. The common area has a queen bed and a full sized couch. The kitchen area is equipped with drip style coffee maker, toaster oven, full size fridge and plenty of cabinets and counter space.

A lovely place!

It was a pleasure to stay at this cozy, comfortable place! Very clean, everything worked, quiet, comfortable bed, large screen TV, lots of amenities and a perfect host! I would stay again!

We were in town for a wedding and we couldn't have found a better place to stay. Everything was top notch from check-in to the apartment itself. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in the area I highly recommend staying here. A+++

Love and Perfection

This was absolutely wonderful. I was so sad to leave this morning and we only had an overnight stay but it was amazing, peaceful, suuuuuper comfy and a cottage feel dream. I’m already trying to think of excuses to come back to the area and stay longer. Farmland, open spaces, chickens, dogs cats horses and Ahhhhhhhhhh. If you need some secluded time away or just a change of pace Melanie’s property is it!

We really LOVED this Cottage in the middle of SOMEWHERE ! From the Pecan Orchards upon our approach to the farm, to meeting our Host, Melissa & family, to the roosters' morning wake up call, everything here was FANTASTIC !The Cottage is well appointed with all necessities to relax, make meals, watch TV, etc. We appreciated all of the design aspects that added to the pleasing interior.Location is perfect for a scenic, leisurely drive to Historic Thomasville.We are looking forward to duplicating this trip in 2026 !Thank you, Melissa, for a GREAT stay !

Charm. Recharge.

This little gem is hidden away enough to feel much needed solitude, and close enough to charming downtown Thomasville to visit local shops and restaurants. The cottage had everything we needed and then some. We spent a lot of time on the porch swing, playing with their dog, kitties, & horse, and we enjoyed walks and yoga in the beautiful yard. Melissa knows exactly where to place a potted plant, plant a citrus tree, and how to decorate a space where we felt right at home. We truly enjoyed every moment. We felt welcome and we are already planning our return.

The apartment was perfect for a two night stay in the area. Lovely property, quiet and the apartment has everything you need. Would definitely recommend for a couple - having the daily visit of the dog made the stay even better, Hope to come back in the future when returning to the area. Thank you for having us.

Wonderful country cottage

Great stay. Adorable cottage close to the wedding we attended. Greated by a beautiful Golden Retriever and a horse. Property was perfect for our overnight stay. Wish we were staying longer.
