"A budget hotel that has nice views of the ocean. If you looking for somewhere that has a view then this is perfect. The property could be updated. I believe if they just change the tiling and apply some paint with minor art work and murals that place would be perfect. For now tho if you are on a budget then this is the place."

"I liked the cleanliness of the property and the amenities. The staff was mostly helpful and friendly however the vacation consultants were aggressively trying to get me to attend a presentation. My room was called about 4 times in their attempt to get me to buy into a timeshare/residence. I found this to be disturbing and quite annoying. After checking out I was approached again about buying a coupon for a future stay. When I declined I was asked “what’s holding me back?” I was here for a vacation not a negotiation with moon palace about spending my hard earned money with them. This is my third time but I doubt I will be coming back. It just feels like they don’t appreciate my business and don’t care about my desire to have a relaxing experience. The other downside to this was the 1 hour 45 minute shuttle to and from Montego Bay airport. I would much rather stay in MoBay for my future Jamaica visits."

"Absolutely loved this resort! The staff were extremely nice and went out of their way to accommodate any requests, with a smile on their face. Ruth, Shavel and team at the Spa gave us wonderful massages. Cons: Dinner food was okay, but not great. Steak and lamb were so tough, we could not cut through them with our knife. Fish had several bones in them on 3 different occasions. Breakfast buffet was great. The jerk chicken was the bomb!"

"The room was cleaned upon arrival. However wifi only worked for a few minutes one day and never worked again. There was no housekeeping service and qas told if I wanted housekeeping that is an additional cost."

"We just spent 7 nights at Royal Plantation. What a beautiful and special place. The grounds are immaculately kept and there is a great sense of pride from all staff in making the resort feel more like a home away from home. Every single staff member we interacted with were so friendly and took time out of their day to stop and have a chat. We loved meeting all of them. We always felt so well taken care of. There was nothing that was ever too much trouble. The room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Our butlers Anthony and Robert made us feel so special and we loved all the little surprises they arranged. The general manager Omar is a huge credit to Sandals and does an incredible job making you aware of his presence and checking in on us to ask if there was anything we needed. The food and drinks are 10/10 we did not have a bad meal and there were many stand out dishes. We hope to be back and see everyone again very soon. Thank you"
