"The MarshMellow may be the perfect place to stay in Ocracoke. The location is great. Not far from the busy village waterfront but in a much quieter neighborhood. The house comes with a golf cart which is almost a necessity. Based on the rental prices on the island, out saves you about 125 per day to use the one that comes with the house. The house is stocked for your every need. Derek has thought of everything. The kitchen is truly a chef's kitchen. We had a great time cooking there. The grill is fantastic. There is one bathroom for each bedroom. The house was great for four people but would also be great for 6. The outdoor shower was perfect after a day at the beach. If we had been there longer we would have used the bikes. We did make use of the beach chairs at the beach. Derek also made sure to please ask types of coffee drinkers. While we love the Ocracoke coffee places, we only went out for coffee once because we had plenty of coffee options at the MarshMellow. He even had multiple toasters which was great to accommodate one of our companions who is gluten free. We could all eat toast at the same time and keep one toaster gluten free. We love The MarshMellow and Derek is just an exceptional host. We hope to be back again. "

"The cleanliness, location, and responsiveness of the property manager were great. The location is close to the local general store/market, and the beach. The kitchen amenities allowed us to cook meals and spend more time exploring the island and at the beach. We would stay at this location again if we plan a trip back to the area."

"This was the perfect play to stay for our family of four (2 adults, 2 kids - 5 and 9) on our first visit to Ocracoke. The property is in a great location and had everything we needed. Everything was updated and super clean, beds were very comfortable, and we loved the outdoor space. The balcony overlooking the water was perfect for relaxing and we spent a lot of time there. One of our favorite things was taking the kayak out into the sound - the easy access from the house was awesome. Owners were very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here next time! "
