"Very clean and nice decoration in good neighborhood. However, since you share the same house with host and other senior guests, after 10 pm you have to whisper inside your room and can’t shower, or host will take away your deposit. Moreover, my family of four can have only 1 1/3 rolls of toilet paper for 4 days, host ignored all requests for extra toilet paper."

"We are a big family and were welcomed with open arms. Hotel Balsthal is a charming, modern hotel with a rustic feel to it. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely be back. Staff is very welcoming to children and went above and beyond to accommodate our little ones. It is surrounded by beautiful nature trails and old castles to visit. I strongly recommend staying here!!! "

"Es war ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt! Von außen sieht das Hotel unscheinbar aus, aber innen ein Traum. Top Ausstattung! Der große Kamin im Winter bestimmt herrlich, die Terrasse im Sommer ein Traum. Das Personal war von Anhieb super freundlich, professionell und sehr humorvoll. Das hatte meinen anstrengenden Tag aufgelockert. Das Hotel und das Restaurant sind exklusiv, lecker, und die Zimmer als auch die Terrasse einen Besuch wert. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen, denn es war eines der besten Hotels in der Schweiz/Region. Das Essen war so vorzüglich. Es blieben keine Wünsche offen, im Gegenteil. Es war, als ob man sich schon immer kannte in diesem Hotel, und alle Wünsche wurden einem erfüllt bzw von den Augen abgelesen. Auch wenn man hier kein Zimmer bekommen sollte, lohnt sich der Besuch im Restaurant!"
