"Staff was helpful. It is dated. Breakfast provided was decent. The only issue we had was hot water. We had none. Called front desk. Had hot water for a day. Then no more hot water (they turned the boiler down again). It was warm enough to put up with to take a shower. There was hardley anyone at the hotel. I know they had the boilers turned down. How do I know? Lets just say I have a friend that is the chief engineer for Hilton. All in all we had a nice time. It was quiet."

"My husband and I were so incredibly blessed to spend seven glorious days at this peaceful and serene haven away from all the cares of the world. It felt like a spiritual retreat, staring for endless hours at the river, reading, watching the occasional barge drift by, surrounded by nature and treated to gorgeous sunsets and sunrises from the dock. The home was immaculate and exactly as pictured in the photos. Our host Sean was amazing, and responded immediately to a quick question (literally in one minute). If you can tear yourself away from the house, Alexandria Bay is only 30 minutes away, and Jacques Cartier State Park is a mere 8 minutes away - perhaps the most lovely park we've ever been to, adjacent to the river with a wonderful playground and sandy beach area for children. We enjoyed eating at JJs on the River, Gran View (a bit more formal), and you can't beat the pizza at Stone-EZ (just one minute away). We cannot say enough about this wonderful home and are so grateful to our hosts for making this beautiful, peaceful retreat, situated right on the banks of the St. Lawrence River overlooking Canada, available for others to enjoy.
