First… Truly enjoyed staying at this property. Read the reviews and know this isn’t a 5-star property. We did love the staff we made relationships with, enjoyed the food a lot, and loved the location. Our room (grand oceanfront) was also lovely! At checkin, we were told the ac unit wasn’t working + the jacuzzi. We were disappointed and were told we would receive a 10% refund - even signed a form. The ac wasn’t working upon arriving to the room but then later was working. The jacuzzi never worked. Checkout day, I asked about the refund for the units not working and they said it’s easy, just call Expedia. Since the trip, I’ve spent numerous hours on the phone with the property + Expedia. When Expedia and the resort finally connected on the phone together, the resort told Expedia they couldn’t find my reservation. When I talked to the resort, they promised every time it would happen any day. We stayed a week in late March/early April. Still haven’t received any refund even after the property states I should get a 10% refund. So as much as I loved the trip and most of the experiences at the resort, I would not stay here again nor recommend it due to the lack of poor customer service.
