Joseph's' Mine, rich with mica, is located just outside of Ojo Caliente Hot Springs Resort. The hike is enjoyable although the trail is minimally marked - just trust in the journey and continue to proceed forward until you find what you're looking for.

A very neat and relaxing place to go for a soak or massage, or both! Unsurprisingly, Ojo Caliente Resort is busy even in the heat of the summer. They have a wide variety of temperatures for both their public and private springs. The only downfall about this place is how pricey it is (~$20.00 for regular admission + whatever services you want on top of that). The atmosphere is very relaxing and would recommend to those who can afford it.
Christmas Eve Dances @ San Juan pueblo. Beautiful mixture of Catholic & Pueblo tradition combined. A must see during the holidays in NM. The Turtle Dances happen the next day (Dec. 26) at the same spot.

I may not have the town correct, but his old church is somewhere in the vicinity. The groundskeeper claims to be many things, including the former town mayor. He gives an enlightening tour!
