"Historic hotel with lots of character, but also filled with modern comforts and amenities. Staff were welcoming and friendly, room was nicely decorated, cosy, warm and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner menus in the rooms, along with a selection of drinks, and a whole book full of the hotel's history and other useful info. All toiletries provided too. Large bar area and restaurant serving food and beers from the local Hall and Woodhouse brewery. Room prices were really reasonable considering that they also included breakfast (both cooked and cold items available)."

This said the venue, bedrooms, bar and restaurant were all outstanding would highly recommend anyone visiting. restaurant we’re all outstanding would highly recommend anyone visiting. We had a dog with us and was made to feel very welcome. What a great team too. Brilliant. We will be back again soon. "
