The Yunomori onsen ryokan was one of the best places I've ever stayed at. The Kaiseki breakfast and dinner was incredible and the staff were 10/10 amazing. We had an in-room onsen and it was perfect. The entire place was clean and incredibly cozy. I would absolutely recommend Yunomori to anybody! It's a short walk to Yuno Lake nearby and also some beautiful waterfalls. I highly recommend this place to stay in Nikko. It was a very special experience for us.

I think very few gaijin go this far out. Some of the communication was difficult but the staff tried really hard and we enjoyed the stay Hard to navigate getting to and from major stations and it snowed one day at end of March Overall I’m glad we did it for the experience to be immersed in Japanese culture.

This historic hotel, founded it in 1870, is beautifully located and provides an exceptional experience in every way. The staff got a backpack left on the bus back to us within an hour. The onsen is a dream. I would love to be able to return someday.

This place was absolutely wonderful! My first time experiencing an onsen and it was amazing. The shuttle pick up and drop off from the train station was great. The welcoming staff at check in/check out. The room I selected was AMAZING!! So serene and quiet. I got the private bath with my room, and boy was it relaxing. Really fun place for a relaxing getaway especially to socialize with your close friends or significant others. There is not much to do in the area unless you have a car.

My wife and I just completed a delightful 2-day stay at this impeccable property. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The well-designed room was very comfortable and very reasonably priced. The bed was very comfortable as well. The shower had the best shower head we have ever experienced in any hotel ever! This was the perfect, quiet place to rest easy while visiting the nearby shrines and Tobu World Square. Highly recommended!

Easy walking distance to the ski hill. Breakfast was good. The room was clean and staff were nice.

Onsen was very nice and clean. The outdoor area was beautiful! They have everything you need already stocked: shampoo, conditioner, body wash and then towels, hair dryers, lotions and other body care items. If you have tattoos, you will need to cover them before going into the onsen. The front desk sells a pack of 10 tattoo cover patches for 250 yen.
