"We enjoyed our quick getaway at the Olcott Beach House. Scott and Michelle were wonderful hosts, especially when we needed a 'wifi rescue' :)The house is in a fun neighborhood in Olcott, and although some things were closed this late in the season, the village looks like a great place to visit before Labor Day. There's a large county park just down the street, and there are two piers close by for sunset watching or fishing, if that's your thing, and a variety of local restaurants to choose from.We enjoyed watching the boats and birds from the deck with our morning coffee, and when we returned after visiting state parks and wineries in the area. The house was spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. "

"This is a very unconventional arrangement for a hotel. It does not even have a reception desk. The owner, who lives remotely, provides entry and room door combinations. Fortunately, he reached me via phone when I was on the road. IMO, however, booking services (e.g., trivago, expedia) need to ascertain that as part of the booking process and forewarn clients of the unconventional nature of this place."

"This was an excellent stay! I was looking for something that was cheaper than hotel listings in Medina. I stumbled upon this gem. If you are looking to be near the water you can’t get closer than this! It’s near downtown and the trail. There is a double bed so this is best for a single person or a couple that likes to snuggle. Not gonna lie, the bathroom is small but, it’s clean and it works. This is a great fit for folks who want a super experience on (like really on) the Canal. Bring your fishing rod!"
