Great hotel, huge bedrooms, lots of social space. Plenty of areas in spa so never felt crowded, breakfast small in comparison to others i’ve had but it was fine.

Herons Lake Retreat
Lovely site in the Welsh hills with lakeside or woodland lodges that were clean, comfortable and have everything you need for a short self catering break. Emlyn's Coppice - Woodland Glamping
My daughter and I stayed in the Orme lodge, it was lovely. Nice and warm, squirrels outside the windows. Hot tub is just a hot tub - not one with bubbles! so don't look for a button to press lol Very peaceful. If you go with kids (i went with teenager) then maybe take a laptop to watch netflix etc ...
